Favorite Trail:FHDL
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $12.00
Purchased At:Jensen USA
Strengths:great form factor
Weaknesses:build quality
Similar Products Used:various others
Bike Setup:Stock Kona Mokomoko
Bottom Line:Neat light; it looks good and is very compact. The mounting system does not require the removal of the seat. My problem is that the poor build quality causes the button to intermittantly close the switch. The unit turns on and off at random, even without touching it. This, of course, makes it useless. I guess that is what you get when you take a German design and manufacture it in China.

Strengths:small, lightweight, brite, super easy to set up, will not get loose.
Weaknesses:NONe
Similar Products Used:some walmart light, lost it on my 1sr ride
Bike Setup:03' Nrs 3
Bottom Line:I like this light and have recomended it to my friends. I put it on my bike, have not touched it in 6 months and the sucker is still sitting there, working very well, not getting loose in fast downhills, not getting lost after jumps. What more do you want.

Favorite Trail:Peirce Reservoir
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $10.00
Purchased At:Chinatown
Strengths:-bright! irritates those behind me
-waterproof
-looks cool
Weaknesses:-the rubber bracket seems kinda fragile and not very durable.
Similar Products Used:-Smart
-Cateye TL-LD250
Bike Setup:Scott Expert
Bottom Line:Get this if you are cycling in wet conditions. The waterproofing has saved me further misery after my Smart and Cateye tailights went haywire after water pervaded their circuitry.

Date Reviewed: October 1, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $6.00
Purchased At:Big-Wheel.Com
Strengths:Small,light,looks good
Weaknesses:Attachment system requires removal of seatpost
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:Marin San Rafael stock
Bottom Line:A modern looking, relativly bright, small compact light.
Uses N batteries which are small and light, but about twice the price of double A's, and last half as long. One of the l.e.d.s on mine was not working upon receipt. Maybe just bad luck. The mounting system uses a fairly heavy rubber band that requires the seat post to be removed for installation.
The light itself is then attached to the bracket via a quick release. No clip type provision for mounting on a seat bag or belt, I had to fabricate one. Overall an average quality product. I think I will try the Vista Eclpise, despite the rumoured weak clip mount.
