Submitted by drzewko a Cross Country Rider from Warsaw/Poland
Date Reviewed: July 12, 2009
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $40.00
Purchased At:Waterfall
Strengths:Super bright
Very good switch
Weaknesses:The case - after changing the batteries for the first time it become too easy to open. This way, it's very easy to loose the light.
Mounting system - I snaped the smaller rubber ring on first attempt to mount the light. I used the bigger one, witch made the light hard to keep in horizontal position. I now broke the bigger ring. This makes me think that the whole mounting system is crap.
Similar Products Used:All kind of Cateye's, Blackburn, others
Bike Setup:SS Ventana El Comendante
Bottom Line:Quality of the light and switch is superb, but the case and mounting system is not so good.

Date Reviewed: February 9, 2009
Favorite Trail:Hither Woods, MTK NY
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Sample from Princeto
Strengths:Super bright, no way they won't see you with this thing behind you, positive action switch, long burn time.
Weaknesses:None.
Similar Products Used:Sigma micro, Knog Beetle.
Bike Setup:Doesn't matter for this review.
Bottom Line:No weaknesses here. Includes batteries, super bright, and mounts in about 5 seconds. My favorite thing about the Swerve is the switch. Just about every light on the market uses a switch underneath a rubber gasket or cover. This is especially annoying for taillights and even worse if you're wearing gloves. You have to physically look to make sure the light has turned on thus causing you to take your eyes WAY off the road as you look down under your seat. The swerve eliminates this problem. The switch is a big, white, easy to locate lever that has a positive CLICK that you can feel. You know the light is on when you turn it on. The whole point of a tail light is safety, so ALL aspects of the light should be safe. Get this light and I promise you'll never look back again. (See what I did there?)
