NiteFlux PMini 12 Lights

Product Description

There are many lights on the market now, claiming around 1000lm but there are none that are anywhere near as small and light and neat as the NiteFlux Pmini 12. The incredibly small size, low profile, and light-weight make it ideal for fitting to a carbon road bike or to be used as a helmet light for serious MTB riding. The PMini 12 Wireless comes with a small battery that can be mounted or stashed anywhere. Lighting controls are managed by a wireless remote. Wireless controls allow a long runtime to be squeezed out of a small battery by ready use of high and low beams. Most users will get 3-4hrs ride time or more from the small battery. Larger battery options are available. The PMini 12 Wireless is very small, but runs cool while riding along. Automatic temperature management prevents any overheating while stationary.

Strengths:    • Head unit is so tiny and light you do not feel it on your helmet
• Battery is rubberised and has a groove along the back of it helping it grip securely when velcroed to your frame
• light output is great (bright with good beam spread)
• remote is handy (sits right between the grips and controls on my bike)
• You can program out power settings that you don't want at the touch of a button
• the case it comes in is tough

Weaknesses:    very minor issues...
• the cable connectors seem to be a bit long, but they work well with a positive 'snap' so maybe no issue other than aesthetic
• The remote button needs a harder press than I thought it should

Bottom Line:
I found this light pretty much spot of for trail riding when fitted to a helmet, but it's also great fitted to the bars. The side clips on the little head unit allow you to velcro strap it around the bars, and the back of the light has a rubberised back so it grips the bar well. Fitted to the bar is perfect for road bike setup. The remote is very handy. I find the light output and beam spread is excellent. I like this light, and though there are brighter units out there I am quite a fan.
