Strengths:
Price, surprisingly decent build quality for the price, nice machined aluminium housings, reasonable light output.
Weaknesses:
Battery life, weight (of battery mostly), charging time (not great but not terrible), cost/difficulty in finding appropriate replacement 6v bulbs, average additional light when 2nd light is switched on.
Bike Setup:
Trek Fuel 70 with some bits and pieces.
Bottom Line:
As an entry level lighting kit, this isn't a bad way to go. It's very very cheap at 100AUD when torpedo7.com has them on sale, and the build quality is quite reasonable.
The light output from having just one of the 12v lights on is sufficient with a decent headlamp. The 2nd 'high beam' light is a bit dissapointing in that it doesn't really add a great deal to the overall light output but literally halves the run time (about 40 - 45 mins at 24watts). Found myself using just one during night laps in a recent 12hr event giving around 1hr 20mins run time.
Overall no, it definitely isnt as bright or as lightweight, nor does it have charging times as good as many high end lights on the market but as I said this is an entry level setup - it costs literally a fraction of a decent HID setup.
For a budget setup to get started riding at night you could definitely do a lot worse in my opinion.

Strengths:
Ample light output, reliable and easy to put on the bike and adjust. Priced to sell. Replacement parts can be ordered from QBP catalog at your little bike shop.
Weaknesses:
Durability of plastic bracket pieces questionable. The "bridge" that attaches the lights to the handlebar bracket is thin and vulnerable. I broke mine in a low-speed tumble and had to replace it. Takes a long time to charge the battery, low burn time (makes you long for a HID setup, damn the higher price!)

Bottom Line:
This is a nice light system, I've had no problems with the way it functions. I'd recommend it to anyone doing the occasional sub-2 hour night ride. For 24-hour races you'll want to stock up on several batteries. Most single bulb set-ups are adequate though it's nice to be able to have the second light for especially technical areas in the dark. Replacement parts are available from Marwi or through your LBS. I think newer models beefed up the mounting bracket so the vulnerability issue I experienced may no longer be an issue.

This is a really good light. I have an older model with the rectangular battery. I have used it for two winters of commuting and two 24hour races. When I did have problems the customer service was excellent. Last winter the wiring harness developed a short and fried itself. Marwi replaced it and all it cost was the postage to send it. Also had the high beam switch go at one of the races and they replaced it on site at no charge.
Weaknesses:
6volt bulbs are hard to come by and buying them from Marwi in the states is an expensive proposition. I stocked up at this years race in Canmore. They were selling them at $20 CDN with no tax. What a deal. Burn time with my battery is about 45 minutes with both bulbs going. I will replace the battery with a nimh unit at next year's race.
Bottom Line:
Marwi makes a good reliable light and backs it up with great service. I would not hesitate to recommend this lights. I also own a 15 watt helmet mount which has been totally reliable.
If you read the post about the light getting real hot and melting the switch, keep in mind the guy was not riding when this happened. The lights get hot, as do most of the others, and rely on air movement over the housing to cool them. This is not a design flaw.
