Bottom Line:

I used this unit for my commuter bike and it lasted for 3-4 months before the switch on top died. Just can't turn the light on and Customer Service is horrible. No response after many attempts to get the light serviced. Major disappointment. Also, the light especially feels cheaply assembled and made. Finally, the LED battery life indicator is ALWAYS on when the light and battery are connected. Thus if you leave then connected after a ride and come back in a 2 days the battery is drained completely. The only way to maximize your battery life is disconnect the light from the battery after every use. And since this a stiff, hard to plug-in and disconnect connector this is a real pain - not to mention a stupid design. I won't buy another product from these copycats that don't service their faulty products.

Strengths:    Bright, light weight, quality, battery life, price, connectors

Weaknesses:    If I needed to include weakness I would say the defined round beam. I would prefer a more smooth transition.
Also, the switch requires you to cycle by a flash step but no big deal just keep it on high

Bottom Line:

Great light. The helmet mount works great. This is one bright light in the woods. I have been on 4 night rides so far. The battery lasts a long time. Mfg states 4 to 4.5 hours on high. So far 2.5 hours and the meter still had between 30 and 50 percent remaining.
Good purchase for any night rider
