The "Y" cable has a section between two joints that might cause the wire to break from the inside. | | Similar Products Used: | None | | Bike Setup: | Specialized Epic Expert Factory setup. | | Bottom Line: | I bought two of these lights with the 6xAA option and conected with the "Y" cable. They are pretty bright and illuminate the path very good. The hotspot is not a problem IMO, because there's still a lot of brightness in a wide range. The light housing is metallic and seems to be sturdy enough. I've tried them just once in fireroads and singletracks in El Salvador during the rain and they worked pefectly. My companions lights were a joke compared to these even though they were using Sigma's double lights. I used them for around 2:30 hrs. and the batteries didn't die, so I guess next time I will use them again and carry an extra pack just in case. I really recommend these light to all of you who can't afford something pricier. They came from Taiwan and took around 6 days usin EMS from Taiwan to Mexico. The seller's page is mainly in Taiwanese (Chinese?)languaje and you have to built-customize your lights as per your preference, but you can be confused as I did when I ordered the Li-Ion pack and missed to order the battery charger (I thought it had a cable to connect it to the wall outlet and obviously I was wrong, I guess I must find a charger locally which fits).I heard the australian AyUps are also a good option since they offer the complete package in a special case, but they are more expensive. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

| | Weaknesses: | Light housing slowly slides out of the Quick mount on rough conditions (coble stone roads). This is easily solved by wrapping a piece of tape around the light.
Shipping: Some problems with the first shipment which did not arrive. However a second shipment was sent promptly. Take in to account that you might be charged VAT over the invoice by costumes.
In my opinion for on road use the beam can be narrower. The throw has several halos of which the outer ones hardly add anything to the effectiveness of the light.
| | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | Road Bike | | Bottom Line: | I must say I am really satisfied with this tiny but very bright light. The light itself leaves ample room on the handle bars and is very light.
On low mode the output is more than enough for commuting or slow speed road bike training. On high mode high speed training on a road bike is easy on good to moderate road conditions. For off road use I would recommend a two light (handle bar – helmet) set-up.
The Velcro straps on the accu pack and its size are ideal for frame or stem mounting. With the available extension cables mounting someplace else (water bottle cage or frame) should be no problem. The accu pack is shrink rapped and according to Litemania splash proof. Unfortunately no special bag is available.

I use it with 6x 1.2 NiMH AA 2400mAh batteries I got in a ready made pack for about 15 dollars.
The pack straps neaty under the stem. The total system weight is 270gms including the mount and batteries.
The output is superb! A bright white light that is more than enough for wooded singletrack in complete darkness.
The light lasts for 7hrs on the battery pack!!! It gets dimmer towards the end and doesn't suddenly switch off.
It has 2 output ratings, 200 lumens and 100 lumens which are changed at a flick of the toggle switch on the back.
I went for the 'oversized' bike mount which is a good surdy mount that can be directed left and right smoothly with no notches.
