Strengths:    Bright, lightweight and well built with a great beam pattern. Built mainly of metal and glass (the entire white housing is metal) and charges fast.

Weaknesses:    It doesn't come with a helmet mount, so you will have to source that.

Bottom Line:
The light is very bright, very light weight and very small (easy to carry in a pack or pocket), and packs a very powerful beam. It is extremely well engineered and the optics offer a very wide and focused flood beam with a spot beam center (if that makes sense). It charges fast and I have never experienced it running out so far, but my rides are typically no more than 1 1/2 hours. I started with one on the bars and fell in love with how small and powerful this light is. I decided to grab another one when it was on sale at my LBS for 20% off. Highly recommended. This light is an absolute steal at this price.

Looking at the shootout and seeing some of the results, I'm really interested in both the NiteRider Lumina 700 (helmet) and the Bontrager Ion 700 for the handlebar. I would opt for 2 Bontrager Ions ... Read More »
