On the trail they are fantastic, great throw, a bright white light and very light weight. They force you to flow as you are able to look so far down the trail.
I am now riding more often as with great lights winter riding has been easy.

AyUp customer service is excellent. Gecko helmet fitting is a great addition. Kits have well selected products combinations. | | Weaknesses: | I can hardly fault this product; however there are some product improvements that I can suggest. The neoprene wrapper bag is a pain in the butt. I threw it out and replaced it with a toiletry bag that fits everything perfectly.
The rubber mounting bands get lost easily as they are a separate piece. A great improvement would be a gecko “clip in” style of mount on the handle bar mount.
I received a faulty 3 hour battery. It only held about 20 minutes of charge. Although I waited 5 months to contact AyUp, they replaced the battery under warrantee, no questions asked and they payed for the postage.

AyUp has done a great job here. I would like to see the gecko helmet mount included in the kits in the future, as its way superior and makes the old cable tie fitting obsolete. The combination of one light on the bars and another on your head is perfect. Can mount four lights on the bars easily, and could have four on my helmet too if needed (instead of just the single paired unit). | | Weaknesses: | The silly "sausage" packing. The 3hr battery that I have needs 50mm more cable to mount it further back on my helmet and thus down lower out of the way of branches. While I have a helmet with a light permanently mounted, I'd prefer not to leave the mounts permanently on the bars. If one does leave them on the bars one needs a small cylinder to hook the rubber over thus keeping tension on the rubber. Why? They are lightweight, crashproof, generate a superb amount of light (especially with the Cree LEDs, even the older Luxeon LEDs were pretty good). The manufacturers are also avid sponsors of events, and provide a charging facility for their customers, in addition to allowing potential customers to trial their products during the race.
I ordered a set at 4:30PM one day and it was in my mailbox at 8AM the next day, you can't beat that for turnaround! In addition they are an Australian designed and engineered product that really is one of the better exports I've seen lately. A choice of three beams: spray, medium, spot. The kit comes with two lights, meaning you can pair a spray unit with a spot - for ultimate lighting of the trail. Recharging time is minimal and the battery packs are light and small. Comes with all the mounting hardware you'll ever need and also very well packed in its own kit. | | Weaknesses: | Absolutely none! | | Similar Products Used: | Tried them all. | | Bike Setup: | I take them from my roadie to my trail to my downhill rig. | | Bottom Line: | If you want the very best, these are it. Very professionally finished, packed and the follow up service is outstanding. The guarantee everything. Our transformer died, and after a quick phone call, one was sent out the next day - no questions asked.
The anodized finish is awesome, so get two different colours to distinguish the type of light beams you buy. The mounting hardware is excellent and really secures the lights in place.
Recharging time is minimal and also comes with a car kit in case you're away. So you can charge from your 12V accessory in the car.
We also use our lights as backups in case of blackouts and always take them away camping with us. The spray light under our tent annexxe works so well, it's like the lights in your house! So many other applications too. My brother-in-law who is an electrician uses them in house roofs when doing installs.
