Strengths: Nice looks, a lot of nice features, e.g. fitness test,
heart touch (move watch close to centre of band to
activate backlight and display target zone limits),
kcal/% fat measurements, nag message when you don't
exercise for a while.Weaknesses: Sometimes erratic at beginning of ride, or during running,
particularly if the band is too loose or there's not enough moisture between it and your skin.
Transmitter battery seems to have died earlier than
expected. Newer models claim to last for 5 years though.
Menu navigation a bit confusing. Buttons slightly awkward
to press when in motion.
Not hugely cheap, but definitely a step up from the cheapo
models.Bottom Line: I've really been pretty happy with the M52. All the
weaknesses are minor niggles which I don't really notice -
with a good transmitter battery, if you make sure to moisten
the contact patches before exercise it works fine.
It would be great to have computer download, but you have
to pay a fortune for that kind of stuff :-(

Strengths: Comfortable and easy to see read out. good when working properly.Weaknesses: inaccuracyBottom Line: Found the M52 works fine for first 45 minutes then becomes erratic, prone to locking up both in and out of my own zone when used with bike mount. Will start to work again when hr changes by significant amount (20 bpm) + or - and triggers it to come out of own zone. It can be set working again by moving the transmitter close to reciever, (leaning forward) Found M51 on loan had same problem.
This item works as it should when used in the gym. Very dissapointed at this time. But still experimenting to find out the problem, which may be clothing or static.
