Strengths: can really compare it to any thing else but I think its great. Being hable ot set limits nad know how much time you have been in your zone is good, fintness test if good jsut to track if you have improved.
Excellent Customer service. Unit let water in after 2 years and they replaced it with a brand new unit at no cost and with out even asking for a recipt.
Even offered to upgrade me to the next model up at no cost.Weaknesses: Ownzone doenst really work for me, I dont used it at all jsut set my own zone threasholds
Sometimes picks up interferance from some thing when riding and displays 200+ bpm.
Had some problems with unit letting water in.
Bottom Line: I got the unit cheap but I have no regrets spending $200 Australian on it.
If the features suit you then I think the unit is fine to buy

Strengths: Its good, easy to read. Has all the features you need (unless you want PC download). Chest belt good when fitted properlyWeaknesses: No dual time display and night light is awkward to press (especially with gloves) and only lasts for a matter of seconds.Bottom Line: Reliable, good features, compact

Strengths: Reliable and no interferance with other monitors.Weaknesses: None so farBottom Line: M51 has many features. My experience is that you do not use those features a lot.
Basically after purchasing I did the fitness test and repeated that 2 times a couple of months later. Feature is nice but maybe not so usefull.
What is usefull though is the Ownzone feature. I use this a lot for training. It gives you the possbility to set zones according to your training schedule.
M51 has prooven to be very reliable up to now. However I doubt if Polar is still superior to other brands quality wise. Price wise for sure they are superior as it will be difficult to find a monitor more expesive than a Polar.
