Favorite Trail:JPL Loop
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $75.00
Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:Provide damping feature on Softride shock stem/suspension stem. It take the edge off big hits and smooth things out. Vary trick looking accessory that provide the finishing touches to your Softride Shock stem. Vary trick looking
Weaknesses:Lack of adjustment, but I guess you could change to a heavier oil. It s simple device that does what it suppose to do.
Similar Products Used:Nothing like it on the market and you'll not see anything like it again.
Bike Setup:Softride PowerWing MTB bike. with Softride Shock stem. Rigid fork.
Bottom Line:I got the damping rod to go with Softride shock stem which does provide the need damping control. The effect is subtle but is there none the less. Vary cleaver accessory that is vary hard to get even when new and way too expensive. I wish it provide some kind of adjustment control but some damping control is better then none at all.

This accessory is so rare it took me a year to find one used. Its become a collectors item so when it does show up on ebay the price sometimes go higher then new list price which is crazy. Its dedicated to the softride shock stem and will not fit any other stem so its a niche accessory of a niche product. If you come across one with a good price, go for it or you won't see another one again.
