Favorite Trail:the Akas
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $2.00
Purchased At:probikekit
Strengths:none really
Weaknesses:I've used 10 of these skabs and have to say they are a waste of time and money.
Under 100 psi the air eventually escapes or the pressure creates an air bubble that just gets bigger and bigger until the air finds its way out.

I've wasted hours on these things a suggest you save yourselves time and money.

Very frustrating - Im going back to the tried and proven patch products.
Bottom Line:they are a waste of time and energy

Favorite Trail:china flat
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:free fron trade show
Strengths:If the tube is clean, then a good emergency patch to get you home. Will hold enough pressure to get you home on rad and mountain tires.
Weaknesses:Not intended for permanent use. Will crack and fail over time. A Rema glued on patch is a permanent patch.
Similar Products Used:none are similar
Bottom Line:Good for emergency use especially when the glue in a Rema patch kit is dried out (because you used the glue once before).

Favorite Trail:still looking
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $3.00
Purchased At:Wal-Mart
Strengths:Cheap, seems to work so far (I run my pressure between 40 and 50 psi), lighter than an extra tube
Weaknesses:Can be hard to peel off
Similar Products Used:patch kit
Bottom Line:Over the last couple of weeks I can not seem to ride without catching a goat head, for fear of geeting stranded I began looking for something more compact than two extra tubes and came across these. I have patched several holes and check my pressure daily and they seem to be holding up nicely. The only down side is that sometimes the paper backing comes with the patch when you try peeling it off hence the 4 star rating.

Favorite Trail:All of them
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $2.00
Purchased At:on line
Strengths:Quick and easy temp repair to be made on the trail or road. Remember, its only a sticker.
Weaknesses:Hard to peel of the backing paper. Kit has a little metal scraper, rather have a small square of sand paper, much more flexible.
Similar Products Used:3M Glueless Clear
Bike Setup:Old School Trek 970 hardtail, Rock Shox Q21, WTB Nano's WTB devo Carbon
Bottom Line:This is a quick fix to get back on the ride. I have fixes dozens of thorn flats with this patch. One tube had 5 patches before I replaced the tube. My son was getting a lot of flats on his bike. Till I slimed his tires. Prior to using this patch I would carry a spare tube (still Do) I got a flat, changed out the tube, and shortly after that got another flat down the trail, bummer. "This patch works GREAT" Much less expensive than new tubes, very quick and easy to do. I would recommend to try them and aleast carry them in your seat pack or stick them in your seat post.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $2.00
Purchased At:Wal-Mart...figures
Strengths:none
Weaknesses:too many
Bottom Line:don't buy these...no joke. i made the initial mistake of assuming these would work, and when I got a flat on the top of a mountain, they failed miserably.

lessons learned: bring tubes always
never buy these, they are worthless

Date Reviewed: July 16, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $5.00
Purchased At:REI
Strengths:Very easy to apply.
Weaknesses:High PSI.
Bottom Line:Worked on my girlfriend's mountain bike tires at ~40 psi, but failed miserably on my road bike tires at ~100 PSI (didn't even survive being reinflated). The material simply stretched and tore from the air pressure. To be fair, the tear was not a pinhole (1.5mm maybe).

Favorite Trail:dunno yet holmes
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $5.00
Purchased At:Dicks
Strengths:Hmmm, well I couldnt get it to work soo, NONE
Weaknesses:They just didn't work for me.
Similar Products Used:Many other "normal" patches
Bike Setup:M80, with avid mech. disks.
Bottom Line:I just could NOT get these to work. I used the WHOLE package on one tube, it didnt get past 20psi. I followed the directions as carefully as possible, didnt touch the bottom with my fingertip, cleaned the tube as best I could. Nothing worked. The concept is great, cheap quick patches. Too bad they suck.

1 flamin' poo cause I cant get lower.

Date Reviewed: August 6, 2005
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $5.00
Purchased At:Wal*Mart (Venice, FL 2002)
Strengths:Funky green colour, fast, easy to apply, came with tire levers and a good price. Excellent for sealing holes from pin hole to 1mm in size.
Weaknesses:Sealing holes larger then 1mm in tubes that are inflated to 80psi.
Similar Products Used:Park Glueless Patch Kit GP-2.
Bike Setup:2001 Trek Fuel 90 Disk, 1996 GT Ricochet.
Bottom Line:I have a Bontrager SuperLight Narrow 26"x1.5" innertube with a presta valve & 4oz of slime that I inserted on the rear wheel of my 2001 Trek Fuel 90 Disk. I also put a Skab Patch on it for extra protection. I repaired, re-installed and re-inflated it to 70psi and after 3 weeks it's still in perfect condition.
Bottom Line: In conjunction with Slime tire sealant my tube is healed now to brand new with extra internal protection.

Strengths:Uhhhh... Not quite there was no strength trust me there will be no chance of me ever buying them again I had to use duct tape because they would not hold up for 10 minutes
Weaknesses:Does not stick.....What other weakness could there be
Similar Products Used:Park glueless recomended and Topeak they were great also
Bike Setup:Well it just got stolen and I will be getting a weyless soon hahaha like youll care
Bottom Line:If I was on the trail and a rider rode by and offered me one I would rather keep on carrying my bike I ride farely hard but this product would not stop a pinch flat.

Bike Setup:
GT Saddleback
Bottom Line:Had both tires go flat...put the Skabs on that night and pumped 'em to 50psi, and they held like champs. Includes tiny piece of sandpaper and two chintzy little tire levers, but they work great and fit in my under-seat bag. I think I got 'em at Target....yahoooooo!!!!
