Strengths:    The old ballfrog was good - have had one for years!!

Weaknesses:    The "new" ballfrog design is poor - they should go back to the old design it worked great - For any serious rider it is not for your balls but IS for your knees...Drive that knee hard into the stem on a steep mtb climb and you will be searching for a cover to that stem...

Bottom Line:
Now that lizard skins stopped making a quality product (form follows function), here is the next best thing: Use Black Foam pipe insulation - get a large size and cut to length- then cut it in the middle (actually, cut one side longer than the other to fit over spacers etc. and other side to cover well over stem itself) experiment with cuts until your get it to bend well at 90 degrees - Use black zip ties to fasten it on each end (allows it to move with stem but stay in place) - You can also use electrical tape to fasten it - it is cheap - and easy to do - Ninja style!

Strengths:    Still trying to find one

Weaknesses:    too small, too stretchy, too thin, too poorly sewn, are you starting to get the idea??

Bottom Line:
$10 of Duct tape would have looked like hell, but would have protected your KNEES and YOUR JEWELS better than this product

Strengths:    keeps knees off stem

Weaknesses:    slides to the side

Bottom Line:
this pad has saved my knees several times. it does tend to slide off to the side and i keep centering it on the stem. i also made pads for the top of my dual crown fork out of mousepad & lizzard skins shock boots. the combination of these three pads on the bike has saved some hard knocks!

Bottom Line:

This is a well-intentioned product, since nobody wants to leave his private parts on the stem while going over the handlebar. However, after the fabric cooks for a while in our West Texas sun, it stretches out to the point that the Velcro won't work. Duct tape now holds the Ballfrog onto my bike, and duct tape grey doesn't color coordinate well with ProFlex red. Definitely overpriced for what you get, in my opinion.
