from United Kingdom Date Reviewed: December 31, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | The best 25l backpack I've ever seen. German engineering forms the mainstay of the backpack. It has a single large compartment with a huge zippered opening. Two mesh side pockets for bits&bobs, a small zipped outer pocket for coins wallets etc. and a Neoprene pouch big enough to carry a helmet! It also comes with it's own raincover. The Best bit about theis though is the harness. It comes with well padded shoulder straps (fully adjustable to a range of body sizes) with the added comfort/support of a chest strap (adjuastable) and a waist strap (adjustable). The AIRCOMFORT system allows a gap bewteewn your back andf the backpack. This allows the air to flow through eliminating SWEATY BACKS the only contact points are at the waist and a small bit at the shoulders. It also has reflectors on the straps and back of the backpack. The whole package is a masterful piece of engineering. and at only £40 is a briliant investment. It can cope with anything from your college books to enough kit for a good four-day trip on the bike. If you think that an obscure German manufacturer can't competre with the big names like KARRMOR and BERGHAUS think again. There IS NOT A BETTER 25l BACKPACK on the market. I have seen the brand in BLACKS outdoor stores. JUST BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I do have just two minor criticisms:- 1) The mesh side would be better if they were closeable, they are just elasticated 2) The hard plastic crescent at the top of the bag means that you have to have the straps very loose if you are a shorter rider. | Overall Rating: |
