Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $18.00
Purchased At:LeBaron
Strengths:Integrates easily with existing hydration packs
Keeps the bitev valve clean
Weaknesses:Resistance to Freezing
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:2006 GT Avalanche 1.0 + locking grips, platform pedals, XT shifters. 2004 Ride Nation 168 Snowboard.
Bottom Line:I bought it more for winter use when snowboarding out West. Attached to my existing Camelbak Cloudwalker I use for summer riding.

I thought it would totally prevent freezing in the line, but sadly it didn't. The only way to avoid freezing was to either lift the tube up and let it drain back into the reservoir or remember to use it every 15 minutes or so, that way it won't have a chance to freeze in the valve.

Oh I also destroyed a bite valve trying to break up the ice inside it with my teeth. Probably not a good idea in retrospect.

With all this said I still think its worth the purcahse. It makes more of a difference in the summer by keeping the water cool.

Favorite Trail:Hmmm. Is Cold Stone Creamery close?
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $15.00
Purchased At:Idunno
Strengths:Does a good job of keeping the water cool.
Keeps the drinking end clean.
Pretty basic and easy.
Weaknesses:Hmmm. Maybe a little heavier insulation
Similar Products Used:None.
Bike Setup:Does the bike really matter?
Bottom Line:This thing rocks. I highly, highly recommend it. I used it on a couple cyclotours and what a difference! First, the water in the tube stayed cooler - no more gulps of pee warm watter. Second, it kept the bite valve clean. I was living and working abroad, but even back home in the states it's such a good idea. Remember this product next time your bite valve is dragging on the ground of some nasty bathroom.

Outstanding.
