With a large display and a beefy amount of features, the Sigma BC 1009 STS Wireless Cycling computer is the perfect choice for an inexpensive but feature rich computer. With features like total ride time, current/average and maximum speed the Sigma BC 100
Strengths: -Top speed reading
-Average speed reading
-Easy setup
-Wireless bugs seem to have been worked out
-Clear display visible in most light
Weaknesses: -Top buttons started functioning intermittently after 2 weeks
-After 8 months, all buttons started to function intermittently
-Pressing some buttons results in "All Reset" for no apparent reason
Bottom Line:
After using numerous computers from Sigma (509's and 1009's on a few different bikes), this will be my last one. The idea is great, and works well for some time, but it seems like these are designed to be throw away items.
It's too bad, as I really do like the simple set-up, ease of use and great display.
