Strengths: Backlight, altimeter, temperatureWeaknesses: Reliability, "eats" batteries, NONEXISTENT SUPPORTBottom Line: Bought as a replacement for a Ciclosport that lasted 4 years, thinking Niterider makes a good product and wanted the temp & altimeter.
Setup isn't very intuitive at first, doesn't get much better after figuring it out. Within the first month I found I couldn't reset the min/max temp; e-mailed Niterider about it and got ZERO response.
After first wet ride, it died. Isn't Niterider known for waterproof products? I let it dry out, replaced the battery, went through setup AGAIN, and all seemed fine. Until that battery died within a month. Replaced the battery AGAIN (fourth one within a year), and on a ride it was working fine until I pushed a button and it went dead again.
I've sent THREE e-mails to Niterider via their website in the past two weeks, as this product is less than 1 year old and well within warranty. I have yet to receive any response whatsoever. Apparently Niterider no longer cares about their customer base, and if this is their new idea of support then I would hesitate to recommend ANY Niterider product, and advise to steer clear of their cyclometers altogether.
It gets 2 chilis only because when it worked, it was a great computer; otherwise its a boat anchor.

Strengths: Design, wireless signalWeaknesses: Altimeter inaccuracy, cost.Bottom Line: I first bought one but the altimeter didn't work, after almost a month I recieved a new one. The gap between a GPS reading and the altimeter reading is sometimes up to 150 m. The brand makes you think the device is reliable but no such. Too much cost for not a big deal. Stick with a company with a trusted cyclecomputer history.

Strengths: Wireless, altimeterWeaknesses: Stupid thing goes into sleep mode after a few minutes. You line up at the start and then go into a race, look down and the unit has gone to sleep to save power. This happens in the 3-5 minutes period and you cant seem to change this setting. So you loose track of the start time and distance. Setup was average, manual is microscopic and needs better flow diagrams of controls.Bottom Line: Fine for milage training, but come race day it switches off and you have lost the plot.

Strengths: NoneWeaknesses: Could not get to work properly. No support from Niterider. (Calls or E-Mails) Cost obviously ease of set-upBottom Line: Niterider needs to stick with lighting systems. I really felt due to their history this would be a good product. Customer support to this point is just not there. Buy a computer from companies that have been in the cycle computer buisness for years.
