Strengths: Easy to install. Low profile doesnt take away from vehicle. Secures to vehicles roof rails with ease and is very secure.Weaknesses: None as of yet.Bottom Line: Install took about 30min since I centered the crossbars and mounted the bike trays. The low profile doesnt look bad being mounted on my X5. I had Q towers on my 4runner and being taller it was a pita along with getting those adjusted.
If your wanting something that has a secure fitment to your factory rails the lowriders are a great option.

Strengths: Easy to install & remove. Holds nice & tight.Weaknesses: Getting the bars centered properly is a tedious process-- as you tighten the clamps, it also locks down on the bars. If you're anal about the bar being centered, it would frustate you a bit.Bottom Line: Easy to use system, but if you're anal about the bars being centered--- go for "close enough"

Strengths: great durability...i have driven through 30mph+ cross winds and had no worries about the rack holding up...no modification of the rack was necessary...took approximately 1hr. to installBottom Line: its awesome...would recommend yakima to anyone...anyone beginner to advance would have no problem installing this...i have never installed a car rack, but this was simple no tools necessary...i have two steelhead bike rails installed and those were a snap to install...

Bottom Line: This is my first roof rack. I have a 2003 Explorer and the lowriders seem like they were made for this vehicle. They are easy to install and hold the cross bars tight. overall they are intelligently designed. The only disadvantage is they dont come with the lock cylinders.
On a side note, I bought the lowriders, crossbars, and one king cobra rack. Ageebike.com gives 20% crdit towards free stuff. I got an 8 pack of lock cylinders for free.
