Strengths:    Easy to use, super fast to load/unload

Weaknesses:    Problems with cast wheel tray see below. Lack of ajustablity both side to side (to center the bike behind the vehicle) and front and back to (space bikes apart). Doesn't drop out of the way.

Bottom Line:
For the kind of cash they want for this rack I expect more. Mine broke after about 3 months worth of hauling my 29lbs AM bike around. The cast wheel tray failed catastrophically on the hwy @ 75mph. I didn't ever off road with this rack because it destroys your departure angle(might be an issue around town if don't have a lot of ground clearance) and it didn't look nearly beefy enough. The rear wheel tray is plastic with a little bolt running through it. This never seemed tight enough and allowed the bike to sway a little. Also the joint in the "back bone" of the rack that allows it to fold up has play in it as well. Yakima should take a look at Thule's rack. It is fully adjustable and it will drop down allowing access to the rear cargo area/tail gate while bikes are loaded. On the plus side Yakima has fully refunded me and is working to replace some of my bike. I know the failure of my rack may be a manufacturing defect but it could have totaled my bike and got someone hurt in traffic. 1 Chili

Strengths:    Very easy to assemble. It took 10 mins from the box to the car...4 included brass bolts...that's it.

Weaknesses:    None so far.

Bottom Line:
Extremely easy to install and use. You will need to secure the bikes as the down side is that someone that what's your bike has an easy time taking it off the rack unless you lock them down when unattended.

Strengths:    fast to install on car, lightweight with being made out of good strong materials, easy to load bikes on rack, very little risk of damage to bikes while transporting

Weaknesses:    handlebars may rub other against other bikes saddle or seat post, not able to lock bikes to rack without buying a cable

Bottom Line:
I feel it is the best hitch rack for the price
