Strengths: Light, easy-peasy to install, mounts to factory roof racks, looks kinda like a little snake biting your crossbarsWeaknesses: ExpensiveBottom Line: If you have factory crossbars and don't want the idiotic feeling of having 2 different setups on your car, then the Forklift is a good, solid choice - also considering decent rack manufacturers who actually make factory compatible mounts are few and far between.
So if this is you, read on!
At first, I was a little nervous... the top of the front clamp fit my oval-shaped crossbars perfectly but the bottom part didn't, even with the 3 different channels for adjustment. However, once I'd tightened it (FYI: on a Subaru Outback, have the front clamp adjusted to the TOP channel, and the rear clamp on the MIDDLE channel), it snugly fit and I was happy. The back clamp, however, will never fit "perfectly." That being said, even with the rear clamp not being quite as "clampy" on the rear bar as I'd like, it's still a VERY tight fit. I have that sucker wound as tight as I can, and have virtually zero wobble with my bike, even doing 70+mph down the freeway.
I personally like the look of forkmounted racks, too, but that's preference - not everyone wants to pop a tire off before loading, and the wind displacement can be an issue...
All in all, I'm very pleased. I did get it on sale (15% off - wooohoo!), so if $$ and factory crossbars are a factor in your rack buying spree, wait for a deal and you'll be happy.

Strengths: Tool-less design for install, nothing to trim to fit Thule rectangular bars, Skewer easy to adjust to a Stumpjumper fork. Mount shaped for universal fitmentWeaknesses: Front clamp install is a little tedious to install when a fairing is already there.
Skewer can be a pain to open. You need to reach behind & push the skewer open.Bottom Line: Installed on Yak bars. Haven't tried other factory bars, but the clamps do look to be similar in design (shape) to Yak Skyboxes for universal fitment. So, if you're going to buy a Fork mount from Yakima, just get the Forklift. If you buy another car, SUV, or wagon, the forklift will work on that also (or a friend needs to borrow it). I personally prefer keeping the front wheel on, that's why I have the HighRoller.
