Strengths: Only one. It connects over the TOW bar.
Weaknesses: To many to list. Horrible design to hold bikes. The clamp takes two screws that take forever to screw in, and even then, they still come lose. i have had bikes come out 2 times. Bikes wobble in the clamp, which is way to narrow or short to give the bikes stability. Impossible to use for many bike designs, and I would have to write off a carbon fiber bike if I put it in this rack. At a minimum, scratch like crazy but would very likely crack the frame.
Unless a Tow mount is the only option, and you have cheap bikes, avoid this rack.
I have a tent camper (pop-up) that I tow behind my 2008 F-150. Need to haul 4 bikes up to Maine (from PA) for a summer vacation. Roof rack space is used up by kayaks and a cargo shuttle. The bed of the truck is loaded with coolers / gear.
