Strengths:    Roomy, well laid out, waterproof, sturdy, adjustable, good color scheme (black with silver reflector trim)

Weaknesses:    Can't think of any real weakness, as I haven't tried any other bags to compare these to, since these have lasted so long.

Bottom Line:
I've used these heavily during long commutes for many years now, often in total downpours. Surprisingly (to me) the lightweight yellow covers completely keep out the water. I recommend cutting the strap that connects the cover to the inside of the back. Also, the clip & release mechanism has surprising never broken after countless uses. Finally, though. something did just wear out... the zipper on the top pocket on one of the bags doesn't close anymore. Definitely got my moneys' worth.

Bottom Line:
i read bad reviews about the retention system before i bought these, but i think they're fantastic 10/10

Strengths:    strong build; plenty of space; multiple pockets (incl. inside and outside mesh pockets); rain cover; handle/lock system is secure and convenient, and easily adjustable for more heel clearance

Weaknesses:    No real weaknesses, rather some suggetions:
bottom of pannier is not reinforced - carrying heavy, solid objects (e.g. laptop) will ultimately wear out the cordura, allowing moisture to enter through bottom; would like to see more reflective material on the rain cover, so it can double as a night cover; heavy load + bumpy obstacle might cause side clip to break off plastic side plate; they are not easy to carry around, off the bike (optional shoulder strap or convertible backpack version would be cool)

Bottom Line:
Best commuter panniers on the market. Also great for multi-day touring.
Unless you plan to wade through waist-deep water, these bags (with raincovers) are doing an equally good rain job as Ortlieb, without the disdvantage of having to stowe everything in a single compartiment that is hard to access.
Amazing how much stuff you can put in one single bag. Example: I use only one bag when biking to work. Typically, I carry my laptop/shoes/towel/spare clothes in the main compartiment, cell phone/wallet/lock/rainjacket in top compartiment, and spare tire/tools/pump/rain cover/headlamp/battery in the side pocket.
Tip: cut off the strap that attaches the rain cover to the bag. This makes it easier to shake it out when wet and you can leave it home on sunny days.

Strengths:    Totally rain proof with cover; very secure to bike, don't shift at all; BIG!

Weaknesses:    When very very full, a little rain got in during a huge downpour. Bug overall very good.

Bottom Line:
A very good and large set of panniers. They work great for what I call heavy commuting.
