Strengths:    Designed and constructed by someone who has an in-depth understanding of what is needed in a frame bag. And how it needs to be put together. A tough, versatile, water resistant bag that attaches to the frame extremely well. The zips are heavy duty and very well sealed. Once fitted, this bag will not move. As a little extra, there is a flat slit on the top near the front to channel bike light cabling to the front.

Weaknesses:    At first glance the price seems steep, but the quality is evident. No internal dividers. The securing velcro straps are really long, but in all honesty they are meant to be trimmed. No distributors in the UK.

Bottom Line:
Having queried Revelate design as to the best size of bag for my frame, they estimated medium which is spot on. The bag had to be imported from the States, which jacked up the price even more, but I have no regrets. It transfers all my maintenance & repair kit from my backpack to the bike, which is a relief on long rides. It's a handily wide bag without being so cumbersome as to get in the way. In summary, enthusiastically recommended.

Revelate Tangle bag on El Mar

Really do not care for wearing a pack. Thinking of a Revelate Tangle bag to carry extra water/gear/food on longer rides. Question is will it interfere with my bottle cages, which I still want to use when the bag is on. I have a 3013 El Mar large. thanks -brianWRead More »

Brief Review: Revelate Designs Tangle Bag (Pics!)

So, after separating my shoulder about 1.5 months ago, it was clear to me that for my daily commute, I would need to ditch my usual backpack/messenger bag to get my shoulders free and, at least somewhat, able to heal. After [not much] research, I came across Revelate Designs' stuff via Surly's we ... Read More »
