Strengths:
Price, fit and pocket layout are good for a decent 20 mile or so ride. Enough pockets for tools, map, GPS, tube, pump, keys, camera and some munchies. Reasonable water capacity.
The pack material is durable and holding up well.
Weaknesses:
Swivel on bladder started leaking after a couple of months. Why a swivel when the bladder always remains in the same spot in the pack? This could have been due to a get-off, so I'm not blaming it on a defective swivel. It just seems unnecessary in the first place. Also the personal effects padded compartment should be waterproofed (this is where I put keys and cell phone).
Pocket for bladder does not seem to be quite large enough to hold the bladder when completely full. It bulges out and is the point where the pack contacts your back.

Strengths:
Holds a lot of equipment from first aid/spare tubes/tire repair kit/shirt/tire pump/shock pump/2 litre water bladder.
Weaknesses:
The only thing wrong with this and i've owned 2 of these is that they bladders HOSES leak. The tips especially. First one i bought the part that connects to the reservoir leaked/Dakine DID send me a new one as per their warranty which was nice/2nd one leaked near the tip of the hose where the nozzle meets the hose. Had to use a metal clamp to help seal it. Never will I buy one of these again.

Bottom Line:
Dakine backs up their products, now it may just have been me... but i had a poor experience with these packs leaking on me and leaking from the hoses. The packs are great, the bladders need some perfecting. I will no long purchase a Dakine product because of this.

Bottom Line:
Perfect bag for someone hitting the trails and not wanting to lug around a big pack. Holds all the essentials like water, tools, sweatshirt and never feels bulky. External straps are perfect for strapping a helmet or something when your not riding. I use it for snowboarding, biking, streetbike, and school. Definatly good for a smaller rider. Sternum straps make the bag feel like its not even there. A+ Da Kine makes kick ass bags for cheap money. I've wrecked a few times already and it doesn't have arip in it yet! These things are bulletproof
