The ride up just got a whole lot easier. Full face or XC helmet carry, armor straps and a 100 oz Nalgene reservoir, make the Apex the freerider's pack of choice.

Strengths:
Pockets Galore!! Durable like everything DAKINE makes, holds helmets securely, easily keeps things organized, all external straps tuck inside when not in use, waist strap is easily removable and stored in bag without taking up any storage space, Bite valve can be angled to work easily with any helmet.
Weaknesses:
I prefer camelback bladders to the nalgene, but they both work I am just used to using a camelback for the past 8 years.
Similar Products Used:
Camelback(about every size and shape
Bike Setup:
Commencal supreme 6.30
Bottom Line:
An incredible bag, I Choose this one over the others because I have a DAKINE backpack that has stood up to a large amount of abuse over the last 6 Years and it's still like new, not ever any wear marks! So based on the durability factor and that DAKINE really makes the most out of available space I choose this one. That and the fact that it actually will hold an XC type helmet. It completely Exceeded my expectations. Top notch bag from a top notch company.

Bottom Line:
This is greatest backpack (hydropack) money can buy!
Before i bought it, i was reading some opinions, and guys were thinking that pack is too big, but that thing is super-compact...! The point is that you can tight straps used for holding shins, and helmet, so rucksack remains little!
It has cool organized pockets, great bladder ( older models had dakine no name bladders, 2008 model has Nalgene pack, which rocks)....buy it!
