    Strength:

Components, Price, Customer Service, Strong/Solid Frame, 6061 Aluminum, Great geometry, Climbs like a champ, Confident feel, Works right out of the box, Simple to assemble. Super Brakes, Super Value.

    Weakness:

Nothing wrong with the bike itself. Took 8 weeks to get here. No fault of the company. Just makes me appreciate it more!

Undoubtebly, Ibex offers excellent value, second to none. The customer service replies within hours, versus days, when emails are sent. Jack, the owner, is a real trooper. This bike is flawless. Frame is great quality, components are top notch, and gives me confidence. On my first trail ride (intermediate) in 3 years, this bike kept me balanced, moving forward, climbing like a goat, and matching the performance of my more experianced riding buddies on their Cannondales, Treks, Konas, ect. Why pay for a name when you can buy performance for less. Highly recomended to those looking for an affordable alternative to overpriced lesser quality riding machines. Also to those who want a top notch product, that comes with a string of customer service and advice, and the chance to prove that you don't need a big name to ride like a pro:P

Stem angle is little low for me.

Outstanding bike, outstanding support. Beautiful frame, reliable components. It took me only 30 min to set-up and adjust brakes. The front wheel was slightly out of true. Re-trued it at LBS and was reimbursed by Ibex within 4 days. First ride was like a dream. Even cheapo seat doesn't hurt my butt anymore (after careful adjustment). Excellent value, highly recommend.

    Strength:

Frame- Sturdy build yet reasonably light, Reliability of stock components, well balanced geometry.

    Weakness:

It came with a kickstand (how insulting lol)... The front tube has sprung a leak 3 different times. The stem angle seems a bit high. 8 speed drive-train limits upgrade potential, esecially over here in Korea. Only 1 LBS to choose from and he still doesnt like me cause i get better deals online.

This bike has earned it's keep in my stable. My only regret to this day is not shelling out a few more benjamins to get one of the Trophy bikes from Ibex. If you set this bike up right, its perfect. No need to use test riding as an excuse. A few of my riding buddies paid more for their rigs and are limited to acera-alivio spec with short travel RST forks. No one here(Osan AB, sides the ones i have told) has heard of Ibex. When i show them my rig and tell them what i paid for it, they are like DAMN. This will be my only hardtail. No need to ever buy another. Im not a clydesdale (5'-11", 177lbs) but no where close to feather weight and it holds up just fine. I went through the whole "I blindly ordered online" regret stage earlier this year but when i look back on my rides, no bike would have been more well suited for my situation. Excellent customer service, i havent emailed them in a while (since its been trouble free) but i think i should throw them a hello. TRAIL WORTHY right out of the box. Lot's of potential for those who desire to upgrade like. Oh and props to the company for supporting the troops overseas and shipping to APO's. If not for them, i would have been robbed by the LBS.

i'm very happy with the bike so far. i'm a beginner and i was just looking for the best value on an entry level bike. i called ibex and spoke with jack, the owner, himself about the bikes and the company. it's a very interesting company with an obvious pride in their product. the 450 has put up with all of my beginner-blunders and wipeouts without flinching. i don't forsee any need to upgrade anytime in the near-future. for anyone looking for a great entry level bike, at least give jack a call and check out ibex's offerings.

This bike is outstanding. The frame quality and components that come stock on it are far and above anything you can get for the price at the local bike shop. Had to wait less than a week for the bike to arrive, and when it came the set-up was a breeze. I have been hammering on it steadily for a couple of months now and it is really holding up to everything I can give it. If you are shopping for a bike in the $500 range you could not do better than this one and you can even save some $.

Great components for the $. good looking bike.

    Weakness:

rear wheel/tire makes strange humming sound. Still haven't located but not a big deal.

I am a big guy 6'2" 225lbs. and was leary of buying online without a test ride but I read great reviews and really didn't want to fork out $600+. This bike is great, It looks great, handles great, has great components. I am very happy with my purchase and would recomend it to anyone. I checked out a ton of bikes and was going to have to spend at least $600 on what I wanted. This bike had it all and came right to my door. 30 min of assembly and I was riding.

One word VALUE. This is a lot of bike for the money!

    Weakness:

The seat sucks. It's a shame to have a cheap velo seat on a bike with every other componet being high quality.

Overall this is a great bike. I bought it for my teenage son. Now he can't keep me off of it. Compared to the trek that I ride this bike handles better, is faster, and climbs hills better. For the same amount of money this is a much better bike. With better componets all around. My only regret is that I didn't find Ibex before I bought my trek.

Perdy Blue!, 6061 aluminum, nice wheels, Geometry, price, Rock Solid and Rugged, knows how to take a hit. VALUE. Individuality.

    Weakness:

Seat hurts my bum STILL! That can be taken care of. It came with a kickstand... unfortunately it's mount is welded to the frame...wouldn't recomend if you count grams. I got the 17" but for some reason feels snug. IBEX looks like TREK from far away lol. Customer service was great when Jack was answering but since then, its deteriorated. Still not bad. Could use softer grips but i think thats just preference. No lbs to service it at. Wish i got the 550

It's a great starter bike. As you get concerned with weight, you might feel like taking a hacksaw to the kickstand mount. The rear shifts great but the front i had issues with. I wrote them and they replied within a 2 hour period. It took several tries to get it right, but now it shifts like a dream. Can't beat the vaule. I personally would have rather gotten the 550, didn't come to my senses in time. GREAT BIKE! Definately Trail Worthy. The LBS still gives me dirty looks every time i pull up. They keep trying to convince me i made a bad purchase. That's Korea for you. Better to have money in my pockets than theirs right? This is an update from earlier. My only regret is not getting the 550 which is the overall same product, but with discs and pilot in the front. Everything else has been great.

Excellent components for the price! Very smooth ride with flawless shifting.

I searched for three months for a good bike at a good price. I was not prepared to spend $500-600 for a name with so-so components. When I found Ibex I could not believe they offered an aluminum frame with a Judy-C fork and Deore derailleur for $399.00! I priced the parts from other sources and found that I would have to spend @680.00 for the same stuff for a home-build. I am no gonzo biker anymore, but as a long-time bike mechanic I know quality when I see it and ride it! You could do MUCH worse than Ibex. No, I do not work for them...
