Similar Products Used: I am a new cyclist and wanted an appropriate bike. I went to Golsan's and explained I did not know anything about cycling, period. The staff was fantastic. They taught me proper sizing for a bike and fitted me with one that was not more then I could handle. They did not try to oversell me with something I didnt need.

The bike was a great deal and because I was new at the sport they loaded me up with all sorts of things I would need for no additional cost. They were fantastic to work with and as excited as me riding as I was. I would recommend Golsans to all my family and friends

Customer Service

really really bad went in to pay 50 bucks for a tune up and new brake cables they did a horrible job with it they didnt even shift to the right gears after they were done they didnt bother to check it, two miles riding on it after i take it back in the gear shift cable broke becaouse they didnt bother to clamp down the metal endings on the wires so it poped out and got totally messed up i went in thinking since it had been 6 hours since i got the bike back from them they would redo it cuz they obviously did it wrong, no they charged me 3 bucks for the brake line, no apology ether for doing a horrible job., its been a week now and since then i have had to replace a brake line and the hole cable they screwed up on

I found out about this shop in the year 2000. I'm glad I found them when I did, and I wish I had known about them before then. I had been a regular customer of another bike shop who had poor customer service but a great head mechanic. That mechanic quit the business to go to school, and I was left out in the cold or with a 18 year old unexperienced mechanic. That is when I happened to join the U's cycling club who Golsans was actually sponsoring at the time. Golson's had been around for years as a small, friendly, and very helpful bike shop in the Holliday area. Just over the last few years they have grown into one of the larger shops around with their new location in South Jordan. Even with the growth they are still helpful, and you can still see Rod (the owner) helping customers and working on bikes. I have bought 3 bikes from them since, and only once took a bike to another shop for service once since I discovered Golson's, an experience so horrible (due to another 18 year old mechanic) I will never take my bikes anywhere else again.

Customer Service

Friendly, Knowledgeable, Helpful, and have never tried to oversell me on upgrades or unnecessary repairs. Good with both mountain bikes and road bikes. Good selection of bikes, and very helpful to show you their variety. I have bought both spec bikes and custom built up frames from Golsan's and am very satisfied.

I've actually been there three times. The first time was to buy an Intense frame. The second time was to drop it off for a warranty repair(bent the seat tower). The third time was to pick it up and get charged $100 for a warranty repair. Intense didn't charge me, Golsan did. After that, I called Intense and they said I could just deal with Intense directly from then on. It was the owner himself who was there to charge me for what should have been free. I didn't care for his attitude one bit, and I suggest that you avoid Golsan cycles if you want a bike shop that's not out to screw you.

Customer Service

Horrible! Charged $100 for a warranty repair on a bent frame.
