Cyclesmith - Bikeshops, Salt Lake City,, Utah

DESCRIPTION

CycleSmith is a neighborhood bicycle shop staffed by great bicycle mechanics and friendly staff. Our primary focus is bicycle repair. Our top priority is to send you out the door with a bike that works perfectly and that you enjoy riding. If it can be fixed, we know how. We might not be the slickest, most polished sales-people in the world, and our "showroom" might be a bit crowded, but we know our stuff and we're kick-ass mechanics. We don't care what bike you ride or where you bought it. You'll get the same friendly service whether you bought your bike from us, another local shop, eBay, or a buddy.

Your bike should run well. If it doesn't, come see us and we'll sort you out.

Small, friendly, and personable.

Customer Service

I went in to have some cables changed and I had a few other questions about my bike. They were so nice that I was shocked (especially compared to my old bike shop). They fixed my bike on the spot, answered all my questions, and they were very reasonable in their pricing. They didn't try to rip me off at all, or sell me unnecessary crap. The estimate they gave me was more than what they actually charged me. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and I am recommending this shop to all of my buddies.

Customer Service

Service there is top notch... They said my bike would be donr in 3hrs and it was...no pressure to buy things I didnt need, but they did point out a few things that may need fixing down the road. The head mechanic (i think his name was Eric)even took me back and soed me what theywere doing and how to do it myself next time.
Yeah is your bike is busted ths is the shop to come to!!

Cyclesmith billed me $50 for a minor tune up on my Specialized Rockhopper (truing back wheel, adjusting brakes and shifters, and replacing a cable). That is MUCH more than I've seen at other shops.

The job was mediocre at best... when I picked up the bike I had to send it back in the shop to have the back brake readjusted so it wouldn't rub against the wheel.

They messed up my fork. I brought my Float RLC with a oil leak from the blue blowout adjustment knob. They overhauled my fork, replaced seals and oil, but somehow broke my lockout capability of my fork. They seem to be nice enough, but apparently incompetent mechanically. Also, when I got my bike back, I had a horid headset creek that was certainly not there before. They charged me another $20 for a head tube refacing to fix the problem. When I got the bike back the creak was still there. At least take the thing for a ride around the block before telling me its fixed. Absolutely ridiculous. Never will I take my bike there for anything.

I visited this shop on referral from a friend. I'm trying to shop local instead of internet. We gotta keep the locals alive! I chatted about my needs, and felt that the responses of the service guy were perfect for my situation. Parts were ordered and arrived as expected. Good prices. No pressure to "upgrade" on what I needed,... which I appreciated.

Stopped by the shop on a referral from a friend. Trying to shop local instead of internet. I was treated well. Advice was good. Prices were right for my needs (and they didn't try to talk me into more expensive parts than I needed/wanted!). Parts were ordered and came as expected.

THIS SHOP IS SO AWESOME, THE MECHANICS ARE REALLY GOOD GET YOU OUT AS SOON AS TIME PERMITS.. AND SPECIALLY IF YOUR ON THE GO! NOTHING BUT A++++ PLUSES AROUND THE SHOP.. IF YOU NEED PARTS THEY GET THEM WITH IN A COUPLE OF DAYS WHICH IS BETTER THAN OTHER SHOPS I'VE DEALT WITH WHICH TAKE A WEEK SOMETIMES TWO. GIVE THEM A TRY IT WILL BE WORTH IT.

Customer Service

GREAT SERVICE!! KATIE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR ORDERING NEEDS.. WHILE FLO AND THE OTHER MECHANICS FIX YOUR BIKE BETTER THAN BEFORE. PLUS THE HEAD MECHANIC AIN'T NO 18 YEAR OLD, WHICH MAKES YOU FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WHEN THEY ARE DEALING WITH YOUR BIKE. JUSTIN WILL TALK TECH OVER ROADEE STUFF AND RACING! SO CHECK THEM OUT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!
