Great shop that has been around since the early 70's so they must be doing something right. They have a great selection (Giant, Jamis, and Yeti are the main brands) and very friendly folks. Some of the best mechanics in Austin, hands down. I would not think of having anyone else work on my bike.

Customer Service

Excellent customer service for everything from changing a tire, rebuilding a classic, shipping a bike for a trip. Cannot say enough about the way Mark and the guys treat everyone.

I called ahead to see if they had the bike (giant boulder se 12.5") in stock, the guy went to look and told me they had three.

The next day I wen there with my girlfriend, for whom the bike was for. When we first got there we had to wait a few seconds for the two workers to finish up their story, kinda annoying but not too bad. The real kicker is that once we finally got their attention it turned out that they actually didnt have ANY of the 12.5 se's in stock. So when I asked if they could order one so we could try it they wanted us to pay 20% down. I have never had a bike shop be unwilling to order a bike in my size.

Customer Service

Everyone makes mistakes, but they were also not that friendly. There are better bike shops in Austin.

I bought my bike there about 6 months ago. They were very honest about what type of bike to buy. They didn't try to sell me a $2000 bike, instead they sold me a bike that does what i need it to do. They were vary helpful every time i went in to look (I shopped around a lot). They carry a large selection of bikes in the store and also larger selection of accessories. I liked the 2 free tune-ups that they give you with the purchase of a bike, also they give you 15% off accessories for a year after the purchase of a bike.

Customer Service

Great!!!!! I have been in there many times with stupid newbie questions and they have always been very friendly.

Very nice shop with a good selection of bikes. I will say that when I told the salesman what my price was he showed me the bikes in that range with out making me feel like sh*t like bicycle sport shop does. Not everyone in this town makes 100K a year and can afford spending 2.5k on a bike. University Cyclery makes you feel good about your purchase and they are glad to get your business.

Customer Service

Great customer service no matter how much your spending.

Similar Products Used: Maybe lowest cost rentals in town: $70 for a week, Giant hard-tail. Very good condition bike. Had a good time. On return, they only looked at the bike for 25 seconds to see if there was damage. They have dual suspension, too. Since I got just what I wanted, for a price I could afford, I guess I'd have to give them a 5.
