I visit family in Abilene and try to bringmy bike when I am there, to get a ridein if possible. On one instance I hit a "something"in the road that causedasplitin my tire casing, and let the innertube poke out the casing like a blister...I wasable to ride on this to BikeTown where they "hopped to" making my situation right again...such a good experience I visit there everytime I'm back in town - tire trpouble or not, they area stop on my trip.
I cannot thank them enough for the friendly and professional service.
Great job.

Awesome! I was new to riding about 3 years ago. Jim helped me pick a bike that actually worked for me.He consider everthing about me weight the fact that i use to race dirt bikes everything and then we discussed the majority of the mountain bikes in the shop for about 3 hours. I have recently moved and the bigger shops where i am now are not nearly as helpful. Thanks JIM!!

Customer Service

Awesome mechanics are great and really help you decide on upgrades and little changes to your bike that actually fit you even if they are not the most expensive.

The first thing that struck me about Biketown was the selection of bikes that they had. They had everything needed to start biking, whether you are into trail riding, mountain, or just commuting. And the parking isn't that bad if you take the block around.

Customer Service

All the guys at Biketown are very knowledgeable and didn't mind answering my thousands of questions. They helped me find a good bike in my price range and when I could finally order it and get all the accessories, the celebrated it with me. They even had great knowledge about local trails and trails that would be good for my skill level.

I had just moved to Abilene and just started thinking about getting into biking, and it was Biketown that excited me about the sport. Just their knowledge and honesty about everything involved really encouraged me to start biking.

Went in there looking to buy my first mountain bike. They were very helpful in helping find what I needed. Jim was especially helpful in helping me find all the accessories that I needed. He didn't steer me towards the most expesive either. He actually tried getting me some of the cheaper stuff and explained all the accessories. I was really surprised at the amount of bikes and merchandise that was in the shop, given the size of Abilene. The shop looked fairly clean too. Parking sucks though, and is kind of dangerous if your not carefull.

Customer Service

Outstanding! I give it 5 stars. Not too many places with personnal customer service like this anymore. I was going to wait until I went to Corpus to purchase a bike, but I am really glad that I stopped in. No regrets. I hope to use this shop for all my needs in the future.

Noob in the mtb world. Went in there looking for a bike and they were very helpful in recomending me one. I ended up purchasing a Haro Shift. They recommended all the items that I needed, but were in no way pushy about it. They didn't even try and recommend me buy their expesive items, but actually tried to save me money by buying cheaper but quality gear. Don't see to much of that anymore. I was suprised at the inventory given the size of Abilene. The shop is clean and well kept.

Customer Service

Outstanding! This will be my shop for all my needs in the future. I look forward to doing business with this shop.

Parking for this shop is sort of dangerous. Your tail end is right on the edge of the street. Oh, they should get a website started and have an ansering machine for their store hours.

People in Abilene have developed the habit of jumping in the car and driving to Dallas or Fort Worth to shop, but you don't have to do that if you are shopping for a mountain or road bike, or parts to upgrade your existing ride. Bike Town's inventory is surprising when you consider abilene's sixe and it's proximity to the metroplex. Not only do hey stock Specialized, trek and haro, they also carry a surprising inventory of Santa Cruz bikes, and are a Maverick dealer.Hey, they even stock BMX bikes and comfort bikes. If you have a cycling need, check them out.

Customer Service

The customer service at Bike Town is excellent. Not only is the staff well informed and the mechanics excellent, they are genuinely concerned aboutmeeting your needs, rather than just making another sale.
They try hard to answer any question you might have and if they do not have an immediate answer, they will get one for you. Work is excellent and is completed in a timely manner.I sort of expect people in a shop where I have spent a considerable amount of money to remeber my name, but to remember my many rides and all the cahnges we have made to them
goes beyond the expected.

Hey, the marking situation may be less than ideal, but i will trade absolute confidence in the product and staff of a business for a little motoring adventure any day.

Bike town has doubled in size in the last five years as a direct result of the service they provide and the kindness with which they provide it. Jim has stocked a great cross-section of bicycles from high-end road, mountain, and cruiser stuff, to very affordable versions that still have good quality. I have bought 4 bicycles from them, and none of them (yet) were special orders - Jim just has cool equipment that you can't live without! He has plenty of accessories, clothes, and goodies; and sponsors regular weekly rides and at least one really good race. (Tour De Gap on July 28 in Buffalo Gap)

Customer Service

The customer service at Bike Town is beyond compare - the folks there become your friends, not just your bike shop. They patiently go over your bike when you have a ghost creak that you just can't seem to find, and they listen to your hair-brained ideas for the perfect bike build. They will even enthusiastically help you put a bunch of your old parts together into a hybrid that only you (and apparently they) can love! They inquire when someone has had a wreck, and offer their home when someone is in the hospital. They order anything you need if they don't already have it. (which is rare) They do the very best work and use a constantly evolving set of equipment themselves in order to be on top of new technology. Everybody there rides constantly, road and mountain, and they can advise you on just about any question. They are the best bunch of guys with whom you could hope to do business!

Prices are reasonable. For a small town they have a great selection from top name brands like Santa Cruz, Trek, Specialized as well as big discounts on closeouts. What they don't have in stock they will order and have it within a few days.

Customer Service

Sales is based on the informative approach rather than high pressure. Tell them what you might be interested in, price ,etc and you will be directed to a range of bikes that meet your criteria. Then they will describe the benefits and shortcomings of each so that you can make an informed choice. I like that. In addiditon, the mechanics are the best in the business. The word gurus comes to mind when talkng suspension. Veteran advice is always available to answer any question from tubes to lubes. Anything I've needed has been handled promptly with a call when its ready/arrived. If you come in with an off-the-wall proplem they will work hard to come up with a solution. They've never steered me wrong.

Recently I felt I was overcharged for custom length of cable housing. On the other hand I bought an expensive cable cutter that was mismarked. Instead of changing the price they sold it to me for little more than cost so I guess it goes both ways. I still give the shop an A+.

All around great shop. Awesome selection. I don't know how they can have such good inventory for being in Abilene. Have high end and entry level bikes and accessories.
The most knowledgable cyclists in town work here. Some of the employees have retired from varied careers and work here just to be working around bikes.
Stop by sometimes and get some slime in your tubes. You'll need it in West Texas.

Customer Service

Great customer service. Won't try to sell you stuff you don't need.
