I just purchased a KHS frame fro the store. There is a new owner that actually cares about the customer and takes his time wiht you to make sure you are getting what you want and need. while in the store a few customers came in and complained about the other guy that owned the store. the new owner tried to help them with the problems the previous owner had left the customer. I must say he did a damn good job. i will buy all the parts and other equipment i need from now on at this store. This store is a welcomed change to the area with personal service.

I have been going to these guys for a few years..Not because I like them..Because they are the only shop in Norwood...The owner is a strange guy who makes me feel uncomfortable..The other guy who does most of the work is a lot nicer...I don't think they are worth a crap as far as BMX is concerned..They have too much work to deal with any small problems.. Like the guy who was crying about his wheel..They don't have time to play with your wheels..They are way too busy trying to assemble some over priced road bike for some yuppy scumbag that will prob only ride once a year if that...It's all about money. Money jobs go to the front of the line. My bikes have sat in there for weeks...I expect it after having gone before...

Customer Service

I was out riding near there not long age & got a flat. I figured I'd walk over & have them pop a tube in for me so I could keep riding & later get home. I walk in with my bike in hand & let them know I just popped the tire..Steve looks at me & says "oh so you just need to get yourself a tube"..As if to say they are to busy to mess with me & I can get a tube off the wall for 5 bucks & then get out of his face...Like I have a tool bag in my back pocket & can just fix it myself out on the front step...It would have took the guys 2 minutes to swap it out & I'd paid 10 bucks...

I've found Fast Wheels to consistently have the best prices in town, both on products and service. Not only that, they are willing to go the extra mile in service too. I recently came in the day before a race and needed new tubulars. Steve (owner) was willing to stay after closing to take my old tires off and glue on ones, which is not a short process.

Customer Service

If it's a quick job, they are willing drop what they are doing and get it done while you wait. If not, they have gotten all my work done in a timely manner, usually before the time estimate.

Ordered a bike for my daughter's birthday in March, promised delivery in April, bike still not available at the end of May. The owner won't give me a refund even though he can't deliver the bike. I have been calling the shop since mid-April, and every time he has told me he was "expecting it on Friday." I finally called the manufacturer, they say the bike "comes from overseas", there are none in the U.S. and no guarantee of when it will arrive. The owner has NOT paid the manufacturer for the bike yet, today he told me my money is "gone", he says he "used it to pay the rent." So, if my bike ever arrives, I guess he will not be able to pay for it unless some other sucker comes in and pays for something in advance -- then he will put them off for a few months............. I also had a bike repaired there and the chain fell off one before the pedals even rotated 360 degrees.

The shop is a mess. Looks like a messy garage. Stuff lying everywhere with no order to it at all.

Customer Service

I went there to get two wheels fixed up with new tubes and tires. I was told the work would be finished by end of business that day. I showed up the next morning. Not only was the store not open when they should have been, The owner stealth unlocked the door behind my back and didn't even bother to let me know he was there, after I had been standing on the sidewalk outside the shop for 15 mins waiting for someone to show up. Upon entering the shop, I commented that he should have let me know he was there, and he got extremely angry and rude. I said just give me my wheels back, and I'll leave then. He asked for my receipt, I wasn't given one, I was told I didn't need one. But my wheels were exactly where I had left them, totally untouched.

The owner of this store, Steve, Is extremely rude. He threatened me with physical violence, and told me to get the hell out of his shop. Apparently, it was MY FAULT the work didn't get finished, and MY FAULT he shows up 15 minutes late for opening his store. I'm surprised this place has lasted 15 years in business. Amazed actually. If you want work done, or plan to purchase anything in bicycles, I'd recommend going somewhere else. The place is only open a few hours a day, and they don't even bother to keep the posted hours.

Fast Wheels is a smaller shop, but has high end, lower end and even tandems and beach style bikes. Some larger shops are able to have a seperate area for the mechanics but here everything is in the open. He has limited space but it is dense with cycling stuff from shoes to pumps to components. Due to limitations in space for inventory some items will have to be ordered. But for tires and tubes and basics, he stocks many sizes of everything.

Customer Service

Steve has actually called me during a ride to see how the bike is working for me. Really. He has also stayed late for me when I needed the bike the next day. I usually wait to the last minute to get some things done. My bad.

I have been a loyal customer of Fast Wheels for 6 or 7 years, although primarily a roadie, I am a fairly experienced rider, having done the 750 mile 2003 Paris-Brest-Paris and Stage 15 of the 2006 Tour De France as a race sponsored by Velo magazine and again qualifying for PBP again this year. Steve is a very meticulous mechanic, I have relied on his expertise for all of these major events, and have not had problems. He will be the last mechanic to touch my bike prior to leaving for France for the 2007 PBP. I have 4 bikes only two purchased in his shop. Steve has done minor adjustments to changing out entire groups depending on my needs for a particular event, again without problems.

The shop has a wide selection of bikes and components and seems to lean towards the better end of the spectrum of products. If you want a great bike this is the place. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and has satisfied me enough to keep me coming there rather than going to the other closeby competition. I prefer to talk directly with the owner rather than some minimum waged hourly guy who just wants the customer to get in and get out.

Customer Service

The work I've done has been completely professionally and at a very fair price. Staff are friendly if you treat them as such.

Don't understand the negative comments at all - this shop is worth doing business with. I highly recommend them.
