This shop is in a great location in West Asheville and has a great selection. Whether you're touring, downhill riding, BMX racing, carrying your kids around, carrying your groceries, racing on a velodrome or cruising on the beach, they have what you need!

Customer Service

Awesome staff, not pretentious like most bike shops can be. Super knowledgeable and you can tell they just love talking about all things bikes! The owner is funny and friendly and has a great crew to back her up.

I have always had a good experience at pro bikes and find the people there friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot understand the negative posts below and must assume that the reviewer is one of those people that should fix their own bike to have it done to his/her standards.

Customer Service

Friendly, fast and above average. Great business model; keep overhead down and pass it along to the customers.

I have been going to Pro Bikes for the past 15 years. They have always given me the best service in town! Knowledgeable mechanics, fair prices and a friendly environment by far the best in town.

Customer Service

When I go into the store someone immediately helps me out. If you are looking to go somewhere and not have to wait for a week to get your bike back then Pro Bikes is your place.

Nice mechanics, HORRIBLE owner! What an attitude. She is very incompetent and will make every excuse possible. Will compare her service to an auto mechanics, confusing and lazy. Worst small business owner I have ever encountered.

Customer Service

Terrible. Will make false promises and prices. Keeps your bike for 3 weeks to change a crankset. Made every excuse with no apologies. Who knows how long it would have taken if I had not gone by there 3 times. Started with a price of $80, went to $120, finally ended at $150.

Do not go here. Check out the other local shops. Friendly smiles and satisfactory work.

Incompetent!! The owner is horrible. She makes lot of excuses why she dropped the ball instead of just saying she is sorry. Way too much attitude! I can't believe she is a small business owner. The store will fail because of her and her mouth. However, the mechanics are very nice and knowledgable. I will not return until the old hag leaves.

Customer Service

Horrible. Takes 3 weeks to get a crank set replaced. Full of false promises, excuses, and prices. The owner is hateful!

Shop was very small and crowded. At first I really thought this was going to be a place I could call home for me and my bike. I should have never bought from here. They won't honor a warrenty. Had parts installed on my bike inproperly and then when it broke was told that it was my fault. Really? They won't really help you. They don't like it if you buy stuff for your bike from other shops and I get the distinct feeling that they are a bunch of gossip queens that will talk about you as soon as you leave.

Customer Service

Customer service is almost not there at all. If you are not a part of the "circle" then you are looked down upon. You run a bike shop. I mean really do you have anything to be stuck up about? There are too many nice people out there running shops that are thankful to have the business.

I'll never go back. Found another dealer not to far away and will gladly drive so that I never need to walk through that door again. You guys blew it with your poor attitudes and horrible customer service. Thanks but no thanks.

Pros: Good location, nice bikes (Yeti)
Cons: lots of attitude

Customer Service

I've had 3 main issues w/ the shop.
One was being accused of stealing via an angry voicemail, only to get "my bad" when the error was realized.
Second was jacked up cables and housing and then being told I had to pay for the replacements
Third was expensive mistake made by shop mgr and being told by owner that it was out of their control since it was the shop mgr.

I believe in second chances and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. I have given too many opportunities in this situation.

Won't go back. I go to Carolina Fatz and Liberty Bikes. I try to not be negative but I work in sales. It's important as a professional to know the reason a customer won't buy from me anymore. Criticism hurts but can be seen as an opportunity to learn and improve.

This small shop in West Asheville is right on my way home from work and quite convenient. Despite their small size, they seem to have a pretty decent coverage of bike parts. They may not have multiple brands of each item, but I've never been disappointed in their chosen selection of parts.

Customer Service

Alex and Jamie are always super helpful whenever I come into the shop. Initially, Marty, the owner came off as kind of snobby to me, but she's actually pretty cool, also. You can tell everyone at the shop is an avid bicyclist, they are all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Apparently, it's all been downhill since those reviews. I am new to the area and moved to West Asheville. I walked into this shop and encountered music playing so loudly you could not even ask for service, and you would need too. I was completely ignored by the shop staff and when I did try to ask for something, I received nothing but a blank stare and an eye roll in lieu of any sort of customer service. I am not a professional biker, but I am a bike advocate and have ridden most of my adult life. This store is like a small private club. If you're not a member of the club, take your business elsewhere. I recommend Bio-Wheels. A larger, more professional bike shop for good reason.

I purchased my first bike from Pro Bikes when I moved to Asheville several years ago. Out of all the local bike shops here, I truly do like Pro Bikes the best. They have a variety of different bikes and a great service department. Last time I checked I know they were carrying Yeti, Serotta, and Fuji. There are probably a couple others as well.

Customer Service

Great customer service and fantastic mechanics. They are honest and friendly and I trust them.
