The guy who owns this place has no idea what he is doing. They sell you items and have no idea how to work on them. The place is friendly when you buy and do not know you when you come back with a small complaint,
This shop sucks

Mmmm no reviews in 2 years? I will not go into details bashing this shop however....after being warned not to do business here I needed a downhill bike. This was the only shop that had a large frame bike in the area. It was fall when inventory is low in all shops and most shops do not stock a lot of high end DH bikes to start with. So against several reccomendations not to do business here I spent $3500 on a Sunday. The forks were leaking oil when I picked it up and the next morning I could push the front end all the way down. I brought it back and the attitude was crap. It was an easy fix if someone cared but the owner did not. It was not untill I threatened to stop payment on my check and return the bike that I got help.

Customer Service

The staff follows the owners lead.....and that is no cares after the sale.

This shop is solid. The guys work hard and get things done right. They don't have the typical air of bigger bike shops. The techs and the sales guys will stop what they're doing to make sure you get personal attention when you walk through the door. There's no pressure selling, and no pushing. Great selection of bikes accompanied by great product knowledge. They are willing to help out and get what you need, fast.

Customer Service

Customer service is out of this world. They ordered a replacement fork for me, and worked with the manufacturer to make sure I got a better, stronger fork than the one I busted, at a fair price. They are quick to turn a bike around, and, work just as hard to make sure customers are satisfied as they do at making sure your bike is running tip-top when it leaves the store.

Just moved to the Manchvegas area from Colorado and was looking for a cool, relaxed, easy going bike shop in my area. Checked the other two, and it looked like a bunch of Brad's, Todd's, Chesters who are more concerned with how good they are, and how good they look in tights and pro-gear than helping some one get good, quick, and accurate service. Jake's was great from the first step in the store. The manager Dan and his tech Ryan both helped me come up with a good solution to fixing my broken fork. Instead of telling me I'd have to send it out or wait a month, or some other garbage, Dan the manager and Marzocchi certified repair rep re-built my fork, noticed a problem that couldn't be fixed, and hooked me up with a brand new XC 600 SL, at a great price. They also tuned my bike while it was there, and have gotten me back on my bike and riding. They stand behind their word and their work, and are extremely diligent.
I'm looking at adding another all mountain or freeride bike to my line up, and with all the stuff they have there - Jamis, Rocky Mountain, GT, Iron Horse, Sinister - I'm not sure what i am going to end up with. Anyway, these guys aren't the normal bike shop. You get treated like a human by a very knowledgeable staff, and they have a strong focus on customer service and making people feel comfortable.
Check them out in Rimmon Heights on Kelly Street - you'll be very happy you did.

Customer Service

Jake's gets an A++ for their diligent, honest, and dedicated service. These guys know what they're talking about, and make sure you get the right parts at the right price, and work hard to put you back on the trail as fast as possible.

I just spoke with the owner at an event. He's a super friendly guy who is patient and will listen to you.

I've never been to the shop (an probably won't as I'm in MA)...but if he is a reflection of his shop, it must be a pretty awesome bike shop.

Customer Service

He was not the arrogant, snotty guy you get at some other shops like ____, _____, ______....

Very good customer service.
