I shouldn't trust the people in the shop in handling the shipping of my bike. The bike was not properly packaged. Many key parts were not wrapped. Many places including the main frame were scratched in the shipping. The handlebar was not wrapped, laying next to the unwrapped front wheel and the seat. There is not padding between them. The only paddings in the box are the wraps around the main frame of the bike. Some of the wraps were zip-tied, some of the wraps were taped, but some of the wraps were just loosely around the frame without any constraints. There was no padding at the bottom of the box. What I saw at the bottom of box are a couple of loose wraps , an unused zip-tie, and two unzipped zip bags.

The front forks were not wrapped or protected!

So, my handlebar was damaged. many areas of the bike were scratched because they were not protected and the handlebar was moving freely in the box.

Do you know why there were zip bags? The packing genius took out some bolts off my bike. I guess they put them in the zip bags, but didn’t zip the bag. There was nothing in the bags or the box since there are many holes in the box (including five big hand holes).

I had to go through many bike shops to find a replacing bolt. The owner promised me to send me a replacing bolt, but haven't. That was two months ago.

The shop is neat, clean, and well stocked. There is a huge selection of bikes, and accessories. Their prices are reasonable.

Customer Service

I made my first major bike purchase at Oliver's. They ordered my bike in the color that I wanted. Originally, I had in mind one bike and they suggested a different bike. The suggestion was a much better option for me. Randy personally assisted me with the selection of accessories for my bike. Explained to me about the helmets, how it shod fit, and which option was the best. We then went outside so that I could ride the bike and he could make any necessary adjustments. This is a great store that provides excellent customer service. We live in the Sun City area and rode all the way to New Tampa to purchase my bike. I highly recommend this store to anyone. The guys in the store are also super friendly and helpful!

Came in for a repair on my cycle:

Great looking shop and looks to me like they do tons of business but the customer service is kinda sketchy. The mechanic there isn't the friendliest guy to say the least and neither is the wife. Instead of genuinely inspecting my bike i felt like i was dealing with the old "rip you off" car mechanic trying to squeeze every possible penny out of me. On top of that, my bike wasn't even fixed properly so I had to give it back to them.

Its got potential but I'll look for a more "genuine" and friendly place for my next repair.

Great shop.Could use more room though. The guys are very friendly. They even offered to show me the local trails when I was just getting started in the sport.

Customer Service

The service department is what kept me coming back while I lived in Tampa. The guys in the back would go out of their way to find the small inexpensive parts I needed to get my bike up and running. I was never pressured into buying anything but was given good information on any product I was interested in.I can't bring myself to buy a new bike so I was always finding deals on ebay and what not. Whenever I needed to ship out my old bike I'd get a shipping box from them no questions asked.

I dealt with Olivers for over two years and I can't remember having any major problems during that time. I wouldn't hesitate to run back over there if they had something I needed asap. There are other shops in the area that I wouldn't go to even if they had the part that would get my bike going in time for the weekend.

In 2006 I visited this shop and bought a handlebar. June 2007 I visited this shop again looking for tires and tubes. The person assisting me was inexperienced. I selected tires and tubes and was checking out. The tires and tubes scanned for more than the price tags. Rudely I was told that the price that scanned was what I would have to pay. It was either pay or walk out. I walked out.

Actually I have been there a few times and the last was the LAST. In June 2007 I was looking for tires and tubes. The price that was on the tires and tubes was not the price that they were charging. All I could do was either pay more or walk out - I walked out.. Never to go back.

Customer Service

The sales person who was helping me was inexperienced and didn't know much about tires and tubes at least.

A decent neighborhood shop with basic needs and a better than average bike selection for a small shop.

Customer Service

Depends upon who helps you. One of the managers is kind of cocky and is too used to dealing with casual riders who don't know much about what they want vs. need. If you ask him for a specific product, which you have researched well and could have purchased online, but want to give your local shop the business, instead of saying he doesn't carry it, he talks down to you and launches onto a diatribe about why your research is all wrong. This has happened to me with this individual more than once.

They carry a full selection of mountain bikes, Kona, Gary Fisher, Trek. They could use a little more room.

Customer Service

The staff is excellent! They ask you questions to find out about your riding style. They don't just sell you the most expensive things if they won't work better for you. They are really good at trying to keep you as a customer, not just getting the quick sale.
