I would not use this shop again.

Customer Service

I would not use this shop again.

Similar Products Used: I had my 20 year old bike in this shop for a tune-up. The bike had been clicking and becoming difficult to ride. I had a budget and felt the price they quoted me was fair.
When I picked up the bike I was told that they could not change the chain because there was a spokes/tooth broken and in order to change the chain they would need to replace the cog and that would exceed my budget. So I paid close to $200 and after a few months the bike was impossible to ride. That was in October 2014.

Fast forward to today. I was riding with my daughter several miles from home when my bike seat (new bike) became loose. We were around the corner from the shop so we go in.
I told him I had been a costumer and that I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to get home with the seat in the condition it was in. He looked me up on the computer and said he remembered me. He looked at the bike seat and said it was loose and that he would charge me $7 to tighten the seat. 5 minutes later I was on my way home.

I went to this shop had an estimate by a girl and the mechanic. I was told my wheel bearings would be fixed by friday. When I came back Friday I was asked by a different girl "did we call you?" I was surprised at that response, then told we still have till 6pm. She said to the customer behind me as I walked out that they'll have it ready in an hour. I turned around and asked for my wheel. She gave it back to me without hesitation. I later found out that's the OWNER!! Insane to think that someone like that still is in business with that type of customer service. Not a reputable shop if you ask me.

This is a great bike shop that I found after snapping my stem bolt right before a race. I took the bike to them in a panic and they quickly fixed the problem and I was able to race. I recently took my Fox Float fork into them for services and they did a great job rebuilding the Fork and it was done at the shop so I got it back right away.

Customer Service

Excellent customer service. These guys want to work for your business.

In my opinion, one of the best bike shops I've ever been to. From the most complex repairs to the simplest the staff always completes my repairs in a timely manner and always seems to find the problem I may be having. The knowledge and expertise of the staff is at a high level and every time I enter the shop the staff is courteous. It just has the feeling of a neighborhood bike shop with a friendly yet professional atmosphere. I recommend Protech to all my friends and fellow riders and would drive out of my way just to get my bike repaired for anything, even a minor tuneup.

This is the type of bike shop that you go to get your more complex repairs done. Not a lot of fancy gear hanging around a lot of new fancy bikes. What you'll see is a lot of repaired bikes waiting for their owners to be ridden and the type of gear you need when you forget before a ride or you brake when you ride. They are conveniently located closed to the Markham mountain biking trails and I believe they are the only shop in South Florida that can do warrantied maintenance work on your suspension fork and shock; therefore, you don't have to wait weeks before getting back on your bike.

Customer Service

I have been there several times for last minute repairs and maintenance work on my bike and the staff has ben very courteous, knowledgeable and have taken their time to explain the pricing and repairs. I have also been very happy with the work performed by the mechanics and the time needed to complete the work.

Similar Products Used: I would definitively recommend this shop if you need any work to be done in your bike. Most important, I would only use this shop if my suspension fork and/or rear shock needs to be repaired.

Nice little shop.
Nothing in stock, but it's ok, not the reason for a shop like this to exist (I prefer them this way).

Customer Service

I understand there is a cult following with this shop. And my first 2 visits confirmed what I have read in the reviews.
Unfortunately when I took my bike in, to really go deep into details, and leave it for a quick cleanup, everything went south. The attitude that the customer does is stupid, and that they can do with the bike as they please, was shocking. When, I was talking to the mechanic guru, and maybe I should just have kneeled down in front of him (my mistake?). I'm not going into all the details (quite a few), someone might get my IP address and show up at my door :-)....
So, just go in, listen, then verify. Don't be blinded by 'I'm certified', 'I know everything', and by the way, 'I smile', dance....

Similar Products Used: On a final note. I did find another shop, and wow what a difference. It was actually fun to go there, no attitude, just experienced guys up on the latest.

the best mechanics around and excellent friendly service.
Please other shops take notice on how to treat customers and bikes.

Customer Service

the best you can expect

I saw these Carlos and Gil to take care some customers asking the most ridiculus questions (for example what type of cup holder is better for your handlebar...), but they took the time to explain and teach each customer.

They are busy but work happy because they like their job, usually there is a very good mood in the shop.

Similar Products Used: visit them across Markham you wont be disappointed.

A conveniently located friendly shop with a knowledgeable staff. So they don't have a lot of "stuff" everywhere: if you need it they can get it. Plus, unlike some of the bigger more well-known shops, this is an inviting place without all the hype and self-importance.

Customer Service

Possibly their best asset; customers quickly become friends and riding buddies.
