I have had horrible problems with this store on more then one occassion. First I bought a $12 water cage that bends every time you take out the bottle (made by trek). I have to rebend the cage every time for the bottle not to fall out. The worst part is when i had an axle replaced, my bike's axle bent after about 200 miles (or 3 months of use). Granted it was only a $250 bike, so it may have been a sub par axle. The axle that it was replaced with bent on a trail that was an easy/intermediate trail in Amelia Earhart Park (in Miami) in less then 5 miles. So, I took the wheel back in to complain that it did not last but 5 miles. I was treated awful by the repair men and manager. They told me I was lying when I told them it happened on a trail, and said i was jumping it (which I don't do) and continued to tell me this the whole time I was there. The employee even criticized me saying it was cheap. So I asked why a cheap rim is still true if the axle is so great, his response was "don't ask me you jump" i continued to say "I DON'T JUMP." So I waited outside for the owner to arrive to voice my concern. After talking to the owner, I got a new axle. But, when I returned to get the wheel, I was still being harrassed by some of the workers about jumping (and this is the great part--it bent in 1/4 mile while I was riding aound my apartment complex. I guess on a small speed bump at less then 5mph when I was resetting the derailer). The use of such cheap parts is very irresponsible as broken axle could have hurt me. I guess this store will do anything for a quick buck even disregarding the safety of their customers.I have since replaced the axle MY SELF with a cro-mo axle and found that a they did not even assemble it properly the Nuts were loose, no tools needed to disassemble, and they left off a cap on the free wheel side that protects from dirt and supports the axle against the hub, No doubt hoping the axle would bend again so they could sell new parts or a new bike. the new axle has over 80 miles of harder trail riding on it and still true as ever. The "Bird Road Cycle World is a rip off"

A bunch of crooks. I gave a $ 400 deposit on a Giant TCR advanced 2 to Gustavo with the promise he would sell me the 2010 for the same price as the 2009 when it came in. When the bike finally came in he tried to raise the price by $300 a classic bait and switch. I voiced my concern to Mr. Lee, the owner who refuse to honor my deposit or the price.

I grew up in this shop as a kid. They were in a smaller shop next to BK off 97th ave. The Lee's were the nicest people a kid could know. I was in the back on a daily basis, tweaking my BMX bike or shopping for stickers. I went back years ago as an adult and Owen recognized me right away and remembered my name. My hats off to the Lee's for their amazing service and expertise.

Great staff, very patient, low-key, and helpful. The day after I bought my son's bike there, his sister t-boned him and bent the rim on his front wheel. I brought the wheel in and told them the story; they repaired the rim and re-trued the wheel on the spot, without charge.

I've been going to this shop for years. They've been int eh bike business for over 20 years. The store itself is pretty big for a bike shop and stock full of all kinds of accessories, clothes, food, components, and of course bikes. They have road bikes, mountain bikes, BMX bikes, and other comfort oriented bikes. they have triathlon stuff too. Great staff too. Thanks Rob for all the help with the bike fitting on my road bike and thanks Carlos ("chuck")for helping me choose the right mountain bike for me (my first). The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lee are super nice and always willing to have a laugh with you.

Customer Service

Super knowledgeable. You can see the experience available to you. Oh yeah, they DO NOT work on commission but are still willing to spend as much time as you need to make a decision. I talked to the guys for like 2-3 hours before making a selection and they were there ready to answer any and every question. Thanks guys!!
