Crap customer support.

Customer Service

Good deals but don't count on expedited shipping. I paid for 2 day shipping, order didn't ship for 2 days, when it did they stuck with the 2 day shipping which bracketed the weekend for a total of 4 business days 6 total days. I called in and offered to pay for the upgrade to overnight or saturday delivery (all they needed to do was call FedEx, I had already confirmed that it was possible with FedEx). Not going to have the parts until the Monday following the bike build weekend with my son. Would have upgraded the shipping on the front end had I known they were going to be slower than molasses getting the order out the door.

I purchased online. The site itself is great but confusing about what's actually in stock and what's not.

Customer Service

This was rough. My bike was weeks late and I was getting no word on status. I kept having to prod them for updates even though their order confirmation email said they would keep me updated within 48 hours of any delays. Never happened. I did get a 10% discount when I finally had enough and called in to request my money back. Even then, the delays continued and I had to call in another time. My Santa Cruz 5010 bike came largely un-assembled in the original Santa Cruz build kit box. The Reverb Stealth post was installed incorrectly and wouldn't go up all the way. I took it into my LBS and had them re-assemble the bike. They said the Reverb fittings weren't put on correctly. Considering it worked after that, I'll take his word for it. I also learned from Santa Cruz that I should have received manuals, stickers and a grease gun. I received none of these and ended up ordering a grease gun from Santa Cruz directly. I needed it because the bottom links were squeaking terribly after a couple of weeks of riding and so I question how much grease was added when Cambria sent it to me. It basically took weeks for them to send me a partial build kit.

Should have gone to my LBS to buy the bike.

it seems like most folks who give bad reviews to this shop are ordering online from them. i haven't ordered online from them- i've only been to the real shop (which moved, by the way, from way the hell down santa rosa ave to a nice spot on mendocino ave across from faith tattoo). they carry a pretty big selection of bikes and components and they're right near downtown.

i can't vouch for the online experience, but i think it's unfair to review a real-life bike shop based solely on their web presence. a bike shop is a brick-and-mortar institution, and this one is very good: the vibe is relaxed and comfortable, the staff is smart and mellow, the bikes are bikes.

the crew there are mostly mtb and bmx guys, and they're all friendly and knowledgable. it feels like an old-school skate shop, where you can hang out and watch videos and shoot the s#!t with the staff while your bike's serviced.

Shop I think rocks lots of decent stuff and organized i dig it...

Customer Service

Cutomer service rocks in person. But over the internet as far as emails go i say hmmmm..
and for purchases not readily available such as my bike very lengthy wait time it has been over a month and they still have not said what is up and when they are expecting it.
So its a toss up for me..

I say if you need some parts that are in the shop get on over there cuz they will take care of you if its not in the house be careful and prepare to hurry up and wait.

Decent place just not as fast as we would expect or i would expect and at least and becareful if you need to communicate by email seems like they decide not to check emails and if they are not in the office theres no other person to get your message to get back to you in a timely manner.

All in all im on the fence.

I recently built a new bike for commuting and ordered several items online from Cambria. I found they had some of the best prices on many bicycle components.

Customer Service

My only complaint is that they list items either "in stock" or not, instead of giving the quantity in stock. For example I tried to order a set of rims that were "in-stock", but turns out they only had 1 in-stock. I didn't find out until I got an email the next day. Same thing with the spokes I needed to build the wheel--turns out they only had 4 in-stock. Who would order only 4 spokes?

That said, I found their customer service personnel very agreeable. When I asked, they tried to find alternative parts that could be shipped right away. In the end, I ended up canceling the parts that weren't immediately available. The remaining parts shipped quickly and everything arrived in order.

I will shop there again, because of the low prices. But if I'm ordering more than one, I'll call to check availability.

Primarily, i just wanted to err my beef with these busters. So i have primarily been a roadie for teh past six years or so. The past few months i have been borrowin mountain bikes and lovvvvving it, riding all over michigan, lovin on teh night ridin program. so, i have finally rallied the funds, and attempted to purchase a salsa selma from these fools. ordered on friday, they called today, teh followning wwednesday and said, oh, "looks like salsa is all out of this frame." yeah, i know, that is why i ordered it from you. dude tried to tell me that they do not claim to have bikes in stock even if they list them as for sale, and was not so rad on teh phone? maybe i am uninformed, but in my experience, if you receive funds for goods, adn you advertise them as for sale...should they not be available? and teh daaaays it took to call. very lame adn bad business in my opinion. i am pretty bitter as fall days are dwindling, i have all the parts to build my girl, and nooooo frame, thanks for nothing cambria busters!! just a bad experience, and i would not recommend these fools.

Customer Service

weeeeeeeak sauce. they did call, only it took four days to tell me that they lacked the frame.

Cambria is a full service shop that sells some entry level to high end stuff, from 3G, Bianchi, SC, Scott, Intense, Ellsworth and others.

Customer Service

I have not had the same experience as the others. I have always had excellent customer service and for the most part, the staff has seemed very knowledgeable. The times that I asked a question and the employee didn't know the answer, they asked someone else and we got it figured out.

They typically have better prices than the other shops around and if they don't, they will price match. I even had them price match a Tracer frame from a website in CO and saved about 30%.

They give me realistic time lines for part orders and when an order came in from Chris King that was missing something, they worked at getting the missing part in right away, with no charge to me. ...And contacted me when it came in, unlike another shop in the area.

From my experiences, it's a great shop and I highly recommend it.

I was shopping for a new bike and went in here to look at a Santa Cruz Blur LT...especially knowing it was going to be coming out in a carbon version. I wanted to check sizing as I am a petite female. Well this place has some of the worse customer service I have ever experienced. It took forever for someone to take the time to speak with me and there was only one other person in the shop. When I wanted to ask questions the sales person pointed in a general direction and said "why don't you go check over there" as I was looking for a small. No I'll help you with that...nothing. To say the least I spent my $5000 elsewhere.
