Stay clear of these guys. If you think performance bikes are bad, these guys are the illegitimate younger brother. Took my mtn. bike in for a problem with shifting. Nothing more annoying then having a shifting problem while on the trail!!!!! Had to take it back 3 times after they told me it was good to go, then they say it's the cable, then they say it's the chain, then they say it's the derailleur, what the f*#@!. Their the mechanics!!!!!!! not me, I could have replaced everything my self at that rate and they had the nerve to charge me a couple hour to trouble shooting time. They don't like it if you have your own parts. They make a lot of money off you when you buy parts from them , no price break , so they really started to get an attitude. Stay clear of anybody mechanics named mino, or if they have a soul patch, or gotte or JUST STAY CLEAR !!!!!

Good selection of Bikes. Elsworth, Ibis, Intense and Giant are prevalent. Good tool selection. Excellent part selection.

Customer Service

Best thing about this shop is the service. I have never left without feeling they have done everything in their power to help. Not a bunch of bike snobs like Beyond Bikes.

This is the best shop in town. Have been going there since they opened. If they do not have what you are looking for they will get it for you! Carry Ellesworth, Ibis, Giant and a varity of others bikes. I can not leave the place without spending money.

Customer Service

Charlie and his staff are great. Never pushy to make a sale and always happy to help out. Will always answer questions without an attitude. When I decided to purchase a Road Bike they helped me get it right. They have built my last two Mountain Bikes. They do not sell the Mountain Bike that I ride (now fault of the shop), but they are always willing to take care of me.

Great full service neighborhood shop with all the bling you can imagine and plenty of the big brands at competitive prices.

Customer Service

I've always had a pleasurable time when I visit Cal Coast. The staff is knowledgeable in all aspects of biking.

The visit that I was most impressed with was when my girlfriend told me she wanted a new bike to commute to and from work. Since this not an area that I know much about, I immediately knew where to go. The staff immediately greeted us upon walking in the door but was not pushy in the least bit. We told them that we were looking for a commuter bike and we just wanted to look around at first. A few minutes later, Aaron greeted us and started to figure out what my girlfriend wanted an needed in a new bike. He then proceeded to describe the various aspects of the available offerings in a manner that I couldn't do any easier. Thanks to everyone there and you have two customers for life!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, well stocked shop. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will order it in asap... and match any price - even internet I believe. No attitude here, just a good bunch of guys that make sure you leave happy every time.

Customer Service

I recently decided to give full suspension a second try after having an Epic a few years back and finding it just not functional for me. Alex was extremely helpful (and knowledgeable) in helping me decide which bike would best suit my needs. He spent a great deal of time with me over the course of several weeks, working with me closely to gain knowledge on my choices. Between his input and much research, I decided on a 2009 Giant Reign 1. Unfortunately, Cal Coast did not have one in stock and Giants warehouse was empty as well. With much guilt, I purchased the bike at another local Giant dealer. The bike store where I made the purchase did not fit me on the bike, and didn't even bother to explain anything to me about the bike either - they just took my money and sent me on my way. When I went to Cal Coast to thank Alex for all of his help and told him of my guilty purchase, he was only concerned with my final outcome of happiness. When he found out about the lack of service from the other shop, he insisted I bring my bike in. Not only did he fit me on the bike, he thoroughly explained to me how the suspension works and all of its functions. Now thats service... and class.

To Alex and all of the crew at Cal Coast - you guys rock! I just wish you had the bike in stock so I could have given you my money...

BTW, the Reign 1 is F****** AWESOME, I love it! Thanks again Alex for all of your help!

I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. I've bought a bike, bought parts, had service work performed, and many times just picked their brains. They've always been very responsive and helpful.

Customer Service

Every time I've been in my experience has been positive. All the people at Cal Coast seem down to earth and from what I can tell, just plain like bikes. I honestly don't understand some of the posts about attitude, etc., but hey, everyone's mileage varies I guess.

If you need a tube on a sunday but basically a bunch of wankers. id recommend adams ave bikes or zumwalts.

Customer Service

Great! They were all over getting my business. Too bad only once. Total duschbagery. plus the remark of me riding a yeti, sorry it's something other than a ellsworth. i have enough friends who aren't impressed with that place either that i'll drive 15 minutes to zumwalts. those guys are cool.

I needed to get a brake line replaced and I was going to do it myself. its sunday and this shop is just down the street. i went there to buy tubing and the avid bleed kit. no bleed kit but they should be able to do it. i wanted to ride soon. anyway, got it back and the brake is like a wet sponge. i was kind of irritated and decided i needed to learn to do it myself anyhow. so i bought the bleed kit from another shop. started the bleed and the jack ace serviced my brakes with mineral oil instead of dot 5.1. WTF, instantly pissed. $250 set of brakes with the wrong fluid. it says (ONLY DOT 5.1) right on the lever. i flushed it a few times and saved 'em but what a dick.

I don't live very close to this shop, but was interested in the Ibis Mojo and they had a demo program. I was impressed with the care taken to properly fit and set up the bike and everyone I interacted with was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The store has quite a variety of bikes from high end FS to beautiful town cruisers and a steady stream of customers. The staff handled the flow very efficiently without making anyone feel rushed.
I subsequently ordered a Mojo SL and started what I feared might be a lengthy wait for these popular and limited production frames. It was barely 2 weeks before the frame arrived and was built up to perfection. And what a beauty it is. I am very happy with my experience at Cal Coast. Charlie, George and Alex were all great, and the "wrench" that helped me with a pedal problem and cut down the seat tube was super as well...and those guys are busy !

This bike shop rawks! The staff is knowledgable and eager to help. The service department is filled w/ guys/gals that truly enjoy what they are doing. They are honest and trustworthy. The shop doesn't have the greatest selection of parts accessories, but tell them what you need and it will be there asap. They carry mostly high-end bikes.

Customer Service

Excellent!

If you are looking for a Ibis Mojo in So Cal, this is the place to go. They have a significant inventory and I got a great deal on my Mojo. I was shopping a number of shops and after talkning to Charlie (owner) a couple of times, I made a visit and closed the deal on a new bike. For what it is worth, I live in Ventura County, 150 miles away and still decided to buy from them. The staff is knowlegeable, low key and they all ride.

Customer Service

Service is excellent. They spent the time with me to set up the bike and were very responsive to follow up questions. I did have a minor problem with the seat tube coming loose, and within an hour, I had a call back with three options to fix the problem, including a complete frame replacement. I even received a couple of follow up calls to make sure everything was going well with the bike. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Cal Coast.
