A pretty good shop. Josh is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are a bit high for certain items, but this is one shop that will take care of you when you are in a pinch, and need some emergency repair.

Living in Marin I've got my choice of bike shops. I've visited them all, and this is hands down the best shop. It was recommended to me by a fellow mountain bike enthusiast, and I recommend Fairfax Cyclery to everyone now, whether it be a family looking for a kid's bike, or a downhiller, or a road cyclist. The mechanics know bikes inside and out, are always looking out for ways to improve your ride (without making a big dent in the wallet), and are just overall super nice.

Thanks to Brian, Brian, Josh, Tom and everybody else that has helped me out!

I needed some spacers for the top link on my 5.5, they ordered the parts no problem but, I was heading to North Star in two days. They took a new $2,000 frame off the wall and gave me the parts so I could enjoy my vacation. I didn't even buy the bike from them. Word up!

I love the guys who work there! All the guys do have a clue on how to run a cozy, neighborhood bike store! One can walk in and talk about the rides and get help on fixing up your bike when buying the parts!
The service is the best! Also Gravy Wheels is located in the store now!

Customer Service

The best cust. service, and friendly. Josh makes some awesome cookies too!

Mostly GT bikes, the mechs know what they are doing. Brian and Tom worked at Gravy Wheels in San Anselmo when it was run by Steve Gravenites, and are real pros. They can figure out your problem fast! Only guys I want to have rebuilding my Fox forks.

Some parts can be pricey, but figure out shipping costs and reasonable markup and its not too bad.

Bryan is helping me upgrade my Prophet. He's a DHer and I think the only one with a clue in Marin. Highly recommended spot and fairly quick turnaround. Now in a larger (huge) space near Good Earth. Respect.

This shop is awesome. It's bringing cycling back to what it should be SPECIALTY RETAIL! When shopping for a bike or a part for your noble steed you need someone who knows what they're talking about which comes from years of working at a shop and actually riding which Brian, Bryan, and Tommy have in spades.

Customer Service

Service is great. They don't sell on price, they sell on service which is something you cannot find in Marin anymore. Remember price isn't everything.

FC is the shop in Marin Co. most inclined to hoist your bike on the stand for repairs while you're standing in the shop. Unlike some of the larger shops - you won't get, "leave your bike and we'll call you in 6 days with a status". FC is old school in that you get 1-on-1 service w/o feeling like some flunky staffer is giving you 1/2 baked advice. Unlike many things in life, bike shop size doesn't matter. FC is small in stature but big on service and delivery. Try it next time you're on the way over White's Hill toward West Marin or on the way to shred Tamrancho. You'll be pleased.

FC is a fun little shop and has a great feeling as soon as you walk in, Brian the owner years ago told me what he wanted in a shop and he has done just that, a place where you can walk in and feel at home, and not feel intimadated by the staff, even though the shop looks small they have it all and if it's not there they will order it for you.

Customer Service

totally rocks, a great crew. They get you what you need, and you can't beat the tune up price.
