Only online experience.

Customer Service

They have a Litespeed sale now. They advertised a wrong price for a model. The sale went through, confirmation and all. Then they discovered the mistake and wanted out of the deal. Fine with me. It was a test on my part and they failed. They lost a customer and they will lose a lot of wealthy customers working for IBM, Boulder. Penny wise, pound foolish.

Every time you work with a customer, it is a test. You never know whom are you talikng to or their potential influence on other customers. Old men have far more money then young ones. We are worse riders by all standards but shops cannot survive only on hot young riders.

Great inventory and that's the only reason I shop there.

Customer Service

Hit or miss. There are some really good guys in this shop. There are also a few that are just too cool to be bothered with helping. When you walk into the shop, may of the floor guys go hiding, like they have something better to do that talk with you. Then there are just the arrogant few and you know who you are :)

Yes, the first time you walk into Bike Bling you might be overwhelmed! Ask a sales person for help and I feel you will become a loyal customer for years to come.

Customer Service

Kerry(owner), Leo(sales)and Michael(service) were all very professional and truly a pleasure to work with. I ordered a custom Niner MTB and they delivered exactly what I wanted. I called Kerry a few times to check ordered status of the bike and he always was available to talk or call me back soon there after. Leo and Michael are very knowledgeable individuals when it comes to bikes, shoes, etc. Michael was willing to double check my shock pressure and walk me through my bike. Bike Bling also has a nice demo bike program which can really help the first time buyer understand and make the right purchase.

I'm ending my very long customer relationship with Bike Bling / Bike Pro after I ordered $1000 of equipment that apparently was not in stock or falsely advertised. No communication from them on this over two weeks. I had to chase to find out. Many other outfits do not behave in this way. It unprofessional and likely illegal. And they ruined Christmas, boo hoo.

was on a hunt for good deals for my project bike. so i drove down to BikeBling (2hr drive). it was one of their Big Sale event.. decent shop with relatively decent inventory.

Customer Service

few minutes in and i was greeted by a clerk. so i asked and see if they can give me a better price or least pricematch the prices i got online. a few more minutes and i was dealing with Kerry(the owner). came of to me a bit arrogant (like don't waste my time, I AM the OWNER attitude) but softened up when he saw my list.. lol! so we work out a deal and came home with half of my parts list in the car and the rest will be shipped out to me after 2 weeks since i ordered a custom built wheelset.. bla.. bla.. bla.. i got my wheelset after 3 weeks.. i was cool with it till i noticed i was charged for something i didn't get. called them up for a chargeback.. 30mins in the call, they finally figured out what item i didn't receive and the phone was handed to Kerry.. to the tone that "i gave you discounts already and i would not give you a chargeback" even called me the "cheapest guy in SoCal". i maybe cheap.. but you're the shortest Kerry i know.. lol! it's the principle of paying for something you did NOT receive Kerry.. so 45mins in.. i finally got a chargeback..

so i finally finished my project bike, and took it to El Prieto for it's 1st ride.. half way down and my rear wheel starts to creek and wiggle.. only to find out that 90% of the nipples are loooose.. WTF!

that just seals the deal.. i'll be taking my business somewhere else next time..

Well... I really want to like Bike Bling, but have a few issues.

The store inventory is impressive, they have tons of high-end mountain and road frames all over the place, and more gear and accessories than I have seen in one shop.

The on-line selection is just as huge.

Customer Service

Here's the catch, and what keeps BikeBling in the minor leagues of customer service:

On-line orders are a joke. They have a huge selection, great prices and the website is easy to navigate, but whether or not something is actually in stock plays no part in the order. You want a headset, cranks, etc? Sure you can order them, but don't assume you will get them in a timely manner.

Don't expect a timely response if you call with a question, unless you mind hanging out on hold.

I ordered a frame from them, which came a few weeks late. Trying to get an update on delivery from the owner of the shop was like trying to find a flying pig.

When the frame did come, the owner tried to sell me the 12x142 rear hub through axle (which the frame includes) and was adament the bike didn't include that with the purchase. We got that figured out... but way to go with being familiar with your product --as a dealer no less.

To top it off --two weeks after I had picked up and paid for the frame, I got two e-mails and a phone call from the owner to ask when I would be coming in to get the frame.

Wow... so glad to see he pays attention. Inventory system? Inventory control? No idea...

The Escondido store inventory is huge, I haven't seen as many high-end mountain bikes and road bikes in one store since the days of the now-defunct Supergo stores.

The online inventory is also huge and prices are decent, or at least on par with other online stores.

Customer Service

In store service is good, but online ordering is kind of a joke. I have no idea what inventory system they use, but it seems like BikeBling will take an order for anything before actually confirming they have it in stock.

On another note, I ordered a frame that includes a DT 12x142 rear axle and bearing service kit. I picked up the frame at the store, and there was no axle or bearing kit to be found. I asked where they were, and had the owner go track down the bearing kit... but he was intent on trying to SELL me the axle, which the frame price includes.

I played dumb, and was ready to call the frame manufacturer to tell them they have an idiot of a dealer... but he figured it out. I guess it helps to look carefully at what comes in the shipping box.

To top it off --I got three emails and a phone call from the owner asking when I would be in to pick up my frame, two weeks after I had picked it up and paid for it.

Good thing he pays attention...

BikeBling could be major league, but with the kind of amatuer attention to detail I experienced... wow. I'll do business somewhere else.

I feel sorry for the people working in the store. I had some great help from the employees, but they really are dragged down by the owner.

STAY AWAY FROM BIKE BLING!! Customer service is a joke and the owner (kery) is know to treat his employees like trash....must be that "small person" complex thingy...

Don't even waste your time with the on-line ordering....trust me, not eveything on their site is "in stock" they seem to wait for an order before getting the part in house.....many times the parts are outdated, discontinued or unavailable.

Medium sized store with HUGE inventory up in Escondido. Bikes from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. They also have tons of gear, apparel, parts, etc. I was blown away when I stepped in during their annual expo and super sale. I spent over an hour checking out the store while my wife and daughter ate free burgers and hot dogs outside. It was a win-win, everyone was happy! They carry all kinds of stuff for roadies, tri-geeks and of course mountain bikers.

Customer Service

This was really where BikeBling shines. I know in the past that they have had some bad reviews but I'm really glad I gave them a chance!

I ordered a Yeti SB-95 enduro build from them and they were able to get it in super fast despite the high demand. It arrived in the store 4 weeks sooner than expected, which was awesome. The only problem was I didn't have the money together yet to purchase it. Kerry (owner) was super cool, willing to work with me, and held on to it until I was able to get the funds together.

When I went in to pick up the bike, Mike at the counter was really helpful and knowledgeable. Closing time was 7pm but they hung out with me well past 8 on a Friday night, ensuring I didn't have any concerns and that all my questions were addressed. It was really appreciated.
