DESCRIPTION

Great local bike shop! Pro level service without pro level attitude. Lots of experience with triathletes. They have a few other locations around the Phoenix metro area, too.

Customer Service

Shopped here a few times and have had mixed service. Bought a Trek Superfly earlier this year. The salesperson was really helpful and he spent a bunch of time with me. They told me to bring it in when it was broken in. It took me about 6 months before I brought it in. Didnt ride much because of the summer heat and I felt like I got to the point where I should take it in.
A guy who was working on a bike by the front counter asked me what I needed without looking up. I told him why I was there and he asked when I bought my bike. I told him 6 months (should've lied) and he said, sorry, it's a 90 day tune up. Ok, so it shouldn't matter how much I spent on a bike. Everyone should receive the same level of service. That being said, I spent $3800 on a bike and would think that a free quick check up and adjustment wouldn't be a big deal.
Fortunately one of the other techs seemed to feel the same way I did. He came over and said he take care of it for me. He took the bike and spent some time making adjustments. Not much needed to be done. I try and take good care of it. I appreciated his help.
Unfortunately I had bad service more than once and won't be going back.

I bought a new mountain bike from them in Dec 2011. The buying experience was great, my salesperson was very knowledgeable and they had the bike built in a couple of hours.

My problem was the included 90 day tuneup. They didn't do any of the work that needed to be done and gave the bike back to me with my brakes rubbing, gears not shifting correctly, and wheels that needed to be trued.

After spending thousands of dollars on my bike and accessories I expected more. They only give one tuneup at Landis (less then many of their competitors) so I wish things would have been done correctly. I will be bringing my bike to another shop for service in the future.

Will NEVER buy from this shop again. I bought a $415 Trek supposedly brand new but quickly had problems with both the brakes and chain system. The tires also would lose air pretty quickly and I had to buy another set of tire tubes to go with it. Their products are defective and they don't stand by their own warranties. They refused to take the return. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

Customer Service

Worst I've ever dealt with. Refused to compromise and had an attitude. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!!

I go here for tubes, I have always found these guys to be helpful, I'll agree with the person that the manager (or at least the one whome I've seen there) holds back the other employees. I've asked about pedals, brakes, wheels, and every time he stops the other employees from looking up prices. He says once I decide on buying them, then they will research it. Well, I'm not going to blindly buy something without knowing the price first, and if I'm asking about the prices in the first place, that gives a pretty good hint that I'm interested in purchasing the product. I mean, that statement is so confusing on so many levels.

I've never had them work on my bike, but a couple of the guys that work there seem to know their stuff. Their selection is basically Specialized, Trek and G. Fisher. No problem with that, but it also means that their acccessories stick to the same: Specialized and Bontrager tires/tubes, seats, grips, etc. Drive train components...they have a limited selection of the previously mentioned companies, but beware if you want to order something in (see above).

Overall, I only go there if I need tubes or gloves or something small like that. Otherwise, to Rage I go!

I don't know as every time I have gone there no one provides much assistance.

Customer Service

Pitiful. The employees seemed eager to provide service however they were handcuffed by the store's manager (Scottsdale Rd. & Shea site). I went in to purchase a Specialized Era for my wife as a surprise but was told that once it leaves the door it's mine...I purchased the bike from DNA Bike as a result and highly recommend them. RAGE is my shop for my Titus and had they inventoried a WSD mtb I would have gone there. What kind of commitment to the customer is it when you simply want to buy a $2500 bike as a surprise but if it didn't fit, "it's mine"?

Won't deal with Landis...in fact I pass it by on my way to RAGE or DNA.

The shop was clean and well organized, well lit with a good selection of bikes and accessories.

Customer Service

Poor: I walked into this facility on 08 Jan 2008. There were four employees behind the counter. One in the phone, two working on bikes and one talking to the lady working on a bike: After 15 minutes in the store looking at a Trek Navigator 3, pulling it out, got on it and putting it back. Not one person asked if I needed assistance. Admittedly I am a 50 year old male and overweight, but I had a $1000.00 in my pocket to spend. When a 20 something blond walked in, two people immediately assisted her in buying a water bottle. I took my money and left without a word, assuming their after sale customer service must be like their pre-sale service. I do not recommend this shop. Bob –Mesa AZ

Their technical Expertise rating is solely based on the work I observed being performed on the bikes in the shop. They appeared to have all the applicable equipment skill to perform the tasks at hand. I do not know of their knowledge as no one spoke to me.

i visited the Shea store. I was larger inside than appears from the outside. They have a large selection of Road, Mountain, Comfort and Fitness bikes and accessories.

It was organized and clean without being antiseptic.

Customer Service

I visited the Shea store to see about sizing a Trek WSD bike for my wife. They had a variety of models and sizes for her to try. It was a weekend and they were moderately busy (about 7-10 customers). We had our 3 year old with us. I found the staff quick to greet us and asked us to look around and they would get with us ASAP.

We were able to look at the different models and sizes without hassle and were helped after about 10 minutes. The employee was knowledgeable about the brands and models and suggested some other brands that were similar to compare.

All the while my 3 year old was playing with the bikes and shoes and stuff, not making a mess but moving stuff around. I was trying to keep him in check and listen to the employee at the same time. The employee was unconcerned with the "destruction" and said don't worry about it I just don't want him to get hurt.

Well to keep this from getting longer. They didn't have the model she wanted in her size at the store but did have it at another store. He offered to have it transported to their store or we go there and get it.

Overall I was impressed with the service we received.

The Phoenix shop, was worthless. They only had Treks. When I walked in looking for a new bike during a slow time on a weekday. The staff was too busy to help.

The Tempe shop was neat, the staff hit or miss. When you get a good employee there, they are really helpful. It was the first person when looking for a bike who was honest and helpful. They actually recomended I go to another shop to get the bike I wanted for my needs and price (they carried the brand, but not in stock and admitted they would not match price). I have gone back for service. I just wish the prices on bikes and parts were more comparable.

Customer Service

Tempe shop is great customer service
