I've had very mixed visits with this shop. Sometimes the guys over there are very nice and are willing to talk to you. Other times you'll go in there and they'll completely ignore you and are rude. Their selection isn't very special if you're a mountain biker like myself and they don't carry many of the top tier Treks any more.

Customer Service

Again it's a hit or miss. Sometimes they're great guys and most of the time they won't ask you a single question.

Customer Service

great! i got in to look at tires and bought a maxxis ikon. i told the guy i brought in my rear wheel that i was trying to get the cassette off. the sales guy said they'd remove it for free, so we go to the repair area, the old guy mechanic takes his cassette removal tool and huge ass wrench and takes off my cassette with a smile. i told him i tried it at home but i guess i didnt have enough leverage, he was nice about it and didnt act condescending or anything. great shop, service, and experience would go there again especially for service. The tire was priced a bit on the high side, but what the heck the service was great and people were friendly. There was even a lady who brought in a bike she bought online for them to assemble, and the mechanics were professional and nice and there was no issue even if the bike wasn't bought there, no negative vibes at all! awesome shop!

oh and i left my skewers there, and called them a day later the guy left a post-it on the skewers with my name so i could pick it up even if he wasnt there when i came over a couple days later. really cool!

Ehh ive been there 3 times. I bought my Trek Mamba there and I like the shop size overall. They carry some good brands trek and cannondale. They have a good selection of shoes, tires , components etc. Its not exactly my lbs I just went there cause they had my size Mamba and probably wont return unless I have problems with it directly.

Customer Service

I was having some problems with the drivetrain on the Mamba so I took it in and the guy just adjusted the derailleurs. Problem continued so I got a better description of it and a second opinion and took it back in now knowing that the problem was the tensioner spring in the rear derailleur. The guy there just replaced it with the new shimano deore shadow and adjusted it too. Pretty good.

I liked it when it was Trailhead. Now this shop would only in my opinion cater to an "elitest" style rider or customer. I won't go back again. I was in the shop for about 10 minutes before they could break away from their conversation to ask if I needed anything. Too slick for me. I've been in those shops before, and was a part of that scene- never felt comfortable there- never will.

Customer Service

Poor unless you are from the same elite planet.

There are many many better shops than this. Even a crappy one would be better.

They are the most expensive shop in the Valley. They will try to sell you anything. I was very unhappy with the way they treated me.

If your bike does not fit you properly or you are going to purchase a new bike you should checkout there bike fitting service. I always had neck pain after long rides. After I had a bike fitting done no more neck pain.

Walked in store, looked at the Blur LT on the wall. Looked around the balance of the store. Must have been three employees there. Was never spoken to, looked at, Etc.

Left store, purchased a bike a week later at the Slippery Pig.

I should have learned my lesson from the first day. The sales staff is rude and treats you like it's your privilege to be there. I purchased a Cannondale and asked them to put on slime tubes for me. It took them a while, but I eventually got it home. Not even around the first corner, my rear tire blew. I had green slime all over me and the bike. They were kind enough to replace it but asked me what I did (as if it were my fault). Two weeks later, the rear tire blew again. Again, they replaced it, but tried to charge me. On my second tune up, the tech guy told me I needed an "in depth" tune. They'd given me a $200 credit, so I went with it. When I came to pick it up, they wanted to charge me. According to them, my $200 credit didn't apply to "special" tune ups. The really great story happened when I got a chip in the paint. I took it in for a tune up and asked them about touch up paint. They said they couldn't find touch up paint from Cannondale. Instead of picking up a catalog or a phone, the guy spent half an hour at the Target next door picking out fingernail polish. I got the information from Cannondale myself and asked them to order it. They argued with me and never got it. When I went in to upgrade my brakes to disk brakes, they told me I didn't need them (translation: I don't wanna look that part up right now).
This story goes on. I'll save you the details. Let's just say that in 3 years in Phoenix, I've never heard anyone say anything good about the Ranch. I've heard plenty to the contrary.

Customer Service

Rude. Consider it an honor to be in their shop and you'll do fine.

If the guy with the dreads is working, talk to him. He's the only decent guy in the bunch. No idea why he's there. He doesn't fit in at all.

If you get a tune there, plan to fix everything when you get it home. I had to buy a shock pump because they couldn't refill it when they tuned my bike.

Was very impressed with the selection of bike and items. Used to seeing small alcove shops, but this one was quite spacious and inviting.

Customer Service

I hadn't had a MTB since highschool so I had a lot of newbie questions but the gentleman I talked to was very helpful and patient.

I didn't end up purchasing a bike from them 'cos I found one on the internet, but I will definitely return for any accessories I may need, and possibly my step-up bike.

I rated expertise at 4of5 only 'cos I didn't really present much of a challenge to them. The info I was given still holds water after trolling the internet though.
