DNA Cycles has high quality bikes and gear as well as very genuinely nice and courteous employees. The owners are also very good people and ride with the locals multiple times every week. Unfortunatly--some of the reviewers here are angry people who just enjoy giving bad reviews to good shops. It's too bad that more of the good, loyal customers don't take time o write reviews!

Customer Service

The customer service is outstanding at all of the DNA shops. I frequent all three and you won't find more caring and helpful people anywhere.

My advice is to go into any of the DNA shops yourself. Ask a reasonable question, or inquire about a bike that they actually sell and you will find that the people there are great!

Store was clean and well stocked. Service was a little weak.

Customer Service

Always feel uncomfortable every time I have been there. Bought a bike there and took it in for the free tune up I did notice that the rear hub was loose figured they would either let me know it was loose or just tighten it. When I got my bike back shifting was still not right and the hub was still loose. Not a peep from the tech about it being loose even thought they were working right next to it.

This shop is on the way to the Red Mtn trails so I have stopped in a couple times to pick up misc stuff I forgot i.e. extra tube, GU etc. When I was in the market for a new bike I knew what I wanted. When I asked about it the sales people didn't seem interested in selling it to me because it wasn't a Specialized... and they didn't have it on the shelf. When they quoted me a price - the owner chimed in and gave me a price 500.00 over retail... what???

Customer Service

I wouldn't go back into this shop for anything. It is a big box store, the customer service, if you can call it that, is lacking, the people are very cold.

When I went to the back the mechanics were all grumpy and unresponsive. I wouldn't want to give my bike up to anyone like this.

It's a good thing they have a hoard of million dollar homes behind them at Las Sendas, where rich people actually like attitude otherwise they wouldn't get much business.

I purchased a Specialized Rockhopper from this shop a few months ago and found the staff to be pleasant but they seemed tense and rushed (they also sold me the wrong size spare tube for my bike 29" instead of 26"). When I had a couple of small problems and returned to the shop to have the bike adjusted, I did not feel welcome, and the place still seeemed tense and staff rushed.

Customer Service

The last time I was there I was made to feel totally unwelcome by an older fellow that wore a name tag "Grandpa." It seemed to me that he was blocking the door so that I could not enter.

I'm not really comfortable going to this shop, even though I have a unlimited one-year free tune up tht was included with the bike purchase. They have a good inventory of bikes goodies. I'm just not sure if I'll go back

Been at this shop just once and will never go back ever. First, Don I think he is the owner, is a social retart. I can't belive this guy is a business owner. I was asking questions about the bikes they had to offer there and then a few people with dna shirts walked in and he walked away to talk to them. 20 minutes later he came back over to me and asked how much money i was going to spend. After talking to other people in the valley that ride alot, almost all of the people say that is the same experience they have had with him. If i had the opportunity i would kick him in the nuts and spit on him. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but this place.

Customer Service

SUCKS! Don is a social MORON!!!

Nice shop. New expansion is great.

Customer Service

Put the wrong parts on my bike and then the store manager (Tim) blamed me for the screw up. Are you kidding me? Seriously!!!

I will never shop at DNA cycles again.

Shop is very nice

Customer Service

Customer service is HORRIBLE and that might be doing them justice. I have never felt very welcomed in the store. When the above comments indicated "if your not spending a lot of money or buying a new bike, they dont seem to consider you a real customer" is extremelly accurate. Due to the fact that they are the closet LBS to my home in Las Sendas I thought I would give them a chance. I just reciently purchased an 2010 Epic Marathon for myself and a 2010 Era Epic Carbon for my wife. I called them first to see if they would price match what Oro Valley bicycles did, they laughed in my face and I quote " Yea right, go enjoy your bike...infact if your getting that price buy me one too" I called in a week later to ask a question about the Roval oversized hubs, Don an employee who works there asked if my name was Phillip, I stated yes. He then proceeded to ask me if I baught the bikes from them, I told no; "On how much I would really love to answer your question about Roval wheels contact the bike shop you purchased the bikes at" was his response! Complete TOOL BAG. By no means am I telling people not to spend there money at this shop.

I for one will never spend any more of my money at this shop. You would think with the economy in the shape that its in a shop of this potiential would pride itself on great customer service. Hopefully someone from Specialized reads this review and does something about the way this shop treats people.

Thanks

Phillip

Two shops, but both are the same: snooty employees with limited inventory --Taiwaneese company Specialized only. The owner seems aloof and not very interested in customer service. I had to bring one bike back three times before I gave up on them. The next shop fixed stuff right away. I am a polite guy, but I could not understand how truly arrogant the staff was. Anyways, I won't see them again.

I have seen at times how it would appear that the staff may appear to not be friendly. I think the big thing to remember the shop is primarily a Specialized dealer and nothing else. So unfortunately they tend to cater to a set type of rider or customer. Good example compare a Volvo / BMW dealership to a Chevrolet dealership. DNA to me is that Volvo / BMW dealership that caters to a set type of person. Maybe they come across differently because a majority of the customers are seasoned riders both on and off the road. Every time I have been in the shop they have been friendly and have answered my questions as well as helping us out.

Customer Service

Good! It is not in your face and they tend to let you ask the questions and not harass the individual. The way I see it if you have a question, ask it and do not feel stupid if you do. I have asked some questions that they responded to in a honest manner. Also to remember these guys are cyclists number one and not some sleazy sales guy trying to make a buck.

I like the bikes they carry. The shop is small, but adequate. Good layout, but work area is a bit crowded.

Customer Service

issue 1: They wouldn't warm up to me until they saw I was interested in buying a bike. Even afterwards, still viewed me as a "shopper," not a friend/rider.

issue 2: Bought bike at full price ($3k). I asked for a small discount some accessories at point of sale. I got nothing.

issue 3: Bike was poorly/dangerously built. Handlebars and stem came loose on my first ride. Not sure how many others are built with this quality.

issue 4: Rear shock broke under warranty, so I brought the bike in. When I came to pick up the bike, I got a bill...they decided to put on a new chain, full retail plus labor, no phone call before work was done. I made them take it off (I can do this myself, much cheaper).

issue 5: really comes back to how they treat shoppers, customers, etc. I worked in a bike shop for 5 years, this is a poorly managed shop based on my experience. Go to Brown & Higley for a better experience.
