This shop has a lot of stuff and all the parts you will need. not much else to say.

Customer Service

Sometimes you get a guy who knows what he is talking about and sometimes you don't. its hit or miss. I am looking for a bike to ride in the winter and was talking to a kid there about just getting fatty tires. The kid was surprised that I didn't want studded tires. I told him I have studs for icy days and wanted the fattest tires possible for the snowy days and all he could say was "well you can't ride with out studs in the winter." I told him I had been doing it for years plus I just explained my situation. He still didn't get it... what a fu cking retard! He then told me he just moved here and hasn't experienced the winter yet. Why the fu ck is he giving telling me what I want when he doesn't even know what he is talking about in the first place?
You can expect a lot of this if you get some stupid kid to service you. The guys with grease and oil allover themselves and a work shop apron are the guys you want to talk to. NOT the young stupid kids.

I have bought 5 bikes from The Bicycle Shop, and every year I bring bikes for tune-ups. I just bought a Specialized Crosstrail Comp last week, and I love it. I also brought in two bikes for repair at the same time- One needed to have the stud tires changed out and a tune up, and the other need a tune-up, flat tire fix, and new gear cable. I always have excellent service in the repair department. The repair dept. is one of the reasons I keep coming back. They are efficient and don't over charge.

Customer Service

I am always happy with the customer service. There are now two bicycle shops, but I usually go to the Northern Lights shop.

I have consistently bought a bike from them every two years, but they never seem to have my previous sales on file after two years. It would be nice if they kept a better profile.

A huge selection of excellent bikes (road, mtb, cruiser) with most sizes on hand. A great shop if you know exactly what you're looking for; sales people are hit and miss with respect to bike knowledge, more often miss (recently anyhow); they don't know how to properly size a rider to a bike. I find the staff at their new Dimond location to be more knowledgeable.

Customer Service

Good at Dimond but absolutely horrible at Northern Lights, very rude, confrontational, and condescending. Argued with my wife about the fact that the bike she bought from them didn't fit her and were worthless in fixing the problems. We then took the bike to the Dimond shop and get things worked out to our satisfaction. Will never go to their NLB shop again.

This business exists to make profits only, the owner is not passionate about cycling.

CS Rating 3 for extremely rude and not particularly knowledgeable staff. Very hit and miss but my last experience at Dimond at least brought the rating into the positive numbers.

TE rating 3 only because of the helpful folks at Dimond. A friend used to work there several years ago and I dealt with him exclusively at which time I'd have given the shop a better rating.

Good selection of bikes. The sales rep knew his stuff, and they were well stocked with what I was looking for.

Customer Service

I just went in for a basic tune up on a bike I got 2nd hand from my cousin. I know it needed a lot of work, but I believe in recycling, and I had hoped of making it good as new. I dropped it off Tuesday, and they said I could pick it up Friday. I came back Monday, and they barely touched it. The old chain my cousin left on was still there! I got 1/2 way down the block when I noticed the grinding sound was still there. I took it back disappointed in the service, and he got it back to me that afternoon slightly improved. I went to work, and later noticed the same grinding problem as before. When I got a chance I went back for the last time, and for the 3rd time, they didn't want to fix my bike. They didn't even bother to offer any solutions, or up sell another bike, or anything. It's like they didn't want my business, money, or for me to ride on a perfectly running bike.

Similar Products Used:

They were rude, short with me for no reason, and didn't do much to fix the bike. The grinding I'm told may be the bearings in the hub, and they just don't want to work on a European made bike for not a lot of money when they have dozens of 500-6000 bikes to work on owned by white people. It stinks of racism for all I know. I never want to go there again or see their faces as long as I live.

The shop carries a variety of good brands and high end bikes from all brands. the mechanics know most of what they are doing, good with shifting and braking. i cracked my rear triangle on my old specialized sworks full suspension and they handed me the wrong rear triangle.

Customer Service

Terrible, i worked in a bike shop for years myself as both a mechanic and a salesman. i asked one of the employees if i could hold a pair of specialized roval wheels, and he growled "NO" at me. what a jerk.

Great place to find a good bike or get your bike fixed. When shopping for a bike, I first went to REI, and they had no idea what they were talking about. Came here, and the salespeople knew their stuff very well. Only place I'll ever take my bike to get fixed as well. Once I took it in for a tuneup, and it turns out the frame was broken.. they fixed it for $10!

Customer Service

Great customer service, very helpful on the phone and in person. Friendly and knowledgeable.

The mechanics know their business. The sales dept doesn't know how to sell bikes.

Customer Service

Excellent in the repair shop. Pretty crappy (my experience anyway) in the sales dept.

I was pretty disappointed when looking for a new bike- The sales guy told me not to take it over any curbs and not to leave the parking lot. Considering I'm a 41 year old engineer and the bike was a full suspension Rocky Mountain Slayer, you'd think they'd be a little more willing to let me get to know the bike. Every other bike shop in town lets you ride their bikes, and that's why I bought somewhere else.

They have a great assortment of bikes from cruisers to racing, mountain, and cross-country. A few kids bikes also. They have a mainly snow/sand bike called the Surly, and boy does that thing look awesome. Has the fat boy tires (quite literally), and looks great. They have Specialized, Cannonball, Redline? Trek, and others. The people there are great and really know what they're doing.

Customer Service

We got great customer service. The place was a bit packed, but I'm pretty sure there were only 2 guys there, and they handled that pack, satisfying each customer, and then moving on the next rapidly. They told us everything about the bikes we had questions on and which would be best for me and they gave us all the information in a heart beat. The gave it in the simplest way they could, but gave us enough to know what's going on and junk. They helped me find a great bike. I've gotten the best service there more than anywhere else.

If you want a nice bike and great service, shop here. I can't say enough how pleased I am with their service and expertise.
I will be coming back to the store, and hopefully getting there names since I didn't tink about it before.

They have a good selection of Bicycles and a helpful staff. However the owner is an absolute moron. Whenever he has helped me he has been rude and arrogant. I bought a bike there which was stoelen a few years later. I called them to ask for the bikes serial number because I had lost the paper work. I talked to the owner and explained the situation, to which he replied were to busy, bye. That was it he hung up on me and refused to find the serial number even after admitting they had it on file in the back. I was, and still am astounded by the terrible customer service.

Customer Service

The worst Ive ever had.
