Bike Bros. - bikeshops

Bike Bros. - Bikeshops, Cochrane, Alberta

Established in 2003, Bike Bros. has become a destination for riders, and soon to be riders, from Calgary, Bragg Creek, Canmore, and much of Southern Alberta. Customers are happy to receive honest, informed information to help with their bike purchasing decisions. The product selection ranges from Kids bikes to BMX, Road, Commuters and of course Mountain Bikes which make up the majority of the selection. A big focus in the shop is full suspension bikes from Giant - stocking most of Giant's XC, Trail and All Mountain suspension bikes. KHS, Marin, Raleigh USA and Niner complete the bike options.

The service and assembly departments help the shop stand out. Bicycle assembly surpasses industry standards with the focus on building perfect bikes - bikes that work better and last longer than the average built bike. The service department has a great reputation which results in significant wait-times for service in the busy season... make an appointment.

If you're looking for small town feel in your big city bike shop, visit Bike Bros. It will be a shopping experience you will enjoy and find very informative.

I've been to most of the big bike shops in Calgary (and some of the smaller ones) and have had some good service, some mediocre service and some poor service. My trusty Jamis needed some love that I couldn't provide, so I decided to trek out to cochrane and give Bike Bros. a try. Instantly loved the vibe - friendly, not pretentious, great election and entirely approachable. I handed over my sad, abused bike, told them what I needed, they were honest, up-front and finished the work AHEAD of schedule!! I took my bike out the next day and I felt like I was on a brand new machine. I've never experienced that before. It was like going from a steel frame, 80 pound, fat tire mountain bike to all carbon road bike. I'll never go anywhere else. Unless they become unreliable douchebags, of course. But if they keep on like they are, I'm a customer for life.

Love the shop! Tons of bikes and goodies!

Customer Service

I went in looking for a commuter bike with a budget in mind. The guys hooked me up with a Hamilton 29er. While they could have sold me a Seek or something else expensive, like most other shops do, they found the perfect bike for me and kept my budget in mind! Now that is service!

Similar Products Used: What else can I say? Their website rocks, their location is great (especially since it expanded) and their selection rocks! I can't wait to wear out my RM Fusion so I can buy another bike!

Bike Bros is a wicked awesome shop! Such great service and selection, even for a small town! Tons of bikes and gear and parts and accessories! I'll never step foot in to a big city store again. There's no reason to :-)

Customer Service

Very great service! I bought my Marin Hamilton 29er at bike bros a few months ago! I went in looking for a commuter at a certain budget, and the staff hooked me up with the best possible ride! They didn't try to sell me the next model up, but what I was looking for in the budget I was aiming at! Now that's customer service!

Similar Products Used: These guys know their bikes. Their site has awesome information and reference materials. I often find myself browsing the site, wishing my other current ride would break down and fall apart so I could buy a new bike.

Bike Bros is what a bike shop should be. Super friendly, super knowledgeable people who will tune your bike like nobody's business. It's absolutely worth the drive from Calgary (for those of us poor suckas stuck in the city).

Customer Service

The best I've experienced anywhere.

This place rips. These guys will show you the no noncense version of what you think you want! Their staff is truely knowegable about the gear they are selling. They gave me the pros and cons to the bike I thought I wanted and helped me onto a bike that totally fit my riding style and my budget!

Customer Service

They are great! Everyone has the info I needed to make an informed decision! I didn't feel intimidated when I walked into this shop. They made me feel welcome instead of feeling like some loser off the street breakin up their little cool guy party! For that I will be a devoted Bike Bro's customer as long as i can ride a bike!

Great selection on only bikes that are actually great. Some stores try to just push bike out the door, Bike Bro's wants you going away 110% satisfied. Whether your style is XC, Downhill, BMX park, or simply a highway racer, this store has a bike to suit your need.

Customer Service

Graham and his crew are the most committed I have ever seen at any service shop, no matter the type. They are there to get the job done, quickly, and most importantly with the job done right the first time. Last time I was in there, for a tune up, I was given recommendations, and I was actually able to understand the labour required. Top notch service, with a fair price.

Having lost my $250 Diamond Back Mountan Bike to theft last August 2010. It was cycle to work all year round friend for 15 months, and got me through the Ride to Conquer Cancer. I decided it was time to go to next level of bike with and set a budget up to $1000. Unfortunately this meant the terror of shopping at a Bike Shop and not really knowing much about bikes.

I visited all the well known Bike Shops in Calgary; told them my needs and hoped they would be able to advise. Every one of these shop left me totally uninspired. They did not really listen, they gave very little advice; just told me there are lots of bikes in my budget range and I could just choose one.

Then I found this review site and decided to visit Bike Bros in Cochrane and had a totaly different experience. See below.

Customer Service

Fantastic. I told them my needs and they picked out 2 bikes for me to look at - both within my budget. They also gave me an opinion that while either bike would work for me, they thought that one suited my needs slightly better. I pointed to other bikes (some more expensive), they were able to expalin in simple terms without being patronising, why that bike would not be right for me.

I was convinced that one of the 2 they showed me was going to be my new bike, but I could not decide which. So they just said - have a spin on each out in the car park; then go home and think about it. I did just that and came back a week later and bought the one they thought suited my needs best. By the way - did I mention that this was the cheaper of the 2 !! No hard sales push here.

Similar Products Used: After my first winter my new Marin 29" Hard-tail, I could not be more in love with it. I don't know how I rode anything else. Just started training for the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and cannot wait to do it on this bike.

Thank you Bike Bros.

I was sick of the same old routine, walk into bike shop, be ignored, make coughing noises until employee comes over, get treated like brainless twit. Not the case with Bike Bros. I was looking for a new bike and stumbled across their website a while ago, after looking through it I figured they would have all the stuff I needed. Their focus on customer service also intrigued me. They carry a vast line of products geared toward value and quality, and the knowledge/experience to find whats right for your needs.

Customer Service

In one word, Incredible. They take their time, find out what you need, educate and inform. I highly recommend this bike shop to anyone who is in the market, and this is the only shop I will be going back to.

What can I say, quality speaks for itself! I was a little sick and tired of the same old routine... walk in the shop, be ignored by the chatting employees, make coughing sounds until someone helps you. Then when you have the partial attention of said employee you get treated like a brainless twit. Not the case with Bike Bros. I saw their website a while ago when I was saving up for a new bike, the products they carry were what I was looking for and the information on the site was extremely useful. Im not going to lie, with past experience in other shops their focus on customer service intrigued me.
