About the 2008 Sortie 3, Mountain Bike magazine said, “… the Sortie was nearly as fast as any dedicated XC ride”. Quite a compliment for a trail bike. Upgrades from the Sortie 2 include a Fox Float RL air fork, Fox RP23 rear shock, Truvativ Fire-X Giga X Pipe crank set with an outboard sealed bearing bottom bracket, SRAM X.9 Trigger shifters, and Avid Juicy 5 hydraulic disc brakes.
