Interbike 2008 - MTBR

Bottom Bracket

The Chris King bottom bracket is specifically designed for Shimano-compatible external type crank/bottom bracket systems and delivers every benefit you've come to expect from King and in the wide array of colors only King can do. At the heart of the system are two sealed bearings made entirely in-house in Portland, Oregon. Because we make our own bearings we are able to optimize the design and use more ball bearings per cup than other systems. More rolling elements translates to a stronger bearing and increased durability. Our bearing races are also finished using a proprietary process for a smooth-rolling feel likely to rival (and outlast) any of the high-dollar hybrid ceramic systems. But smooth rolling doesn't mean fragile as these bearings feature the same seal design that have made our hubs and headsets legendary. Our experience and continued testing with these bearings is what allows us to offer a 5-year warranty on this bottom bracket.

An available grease injection tool (coming in December of 2008) allows the bearings to be purged of existing grease and debris and new grease run through. What better way to maximize the life of your bearings than to do routine maintenance? Especially when it's this simple.
