$285.00 | | Purchased At: | Speedgoat | | Strengths: | Light-weight, simple, sturdy, beautiful. | | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | Salsa Mamasita, Bonti RXL, Avid Ultimate, XT | | Bottom Line: | I love these forks! WB have delivered a light-weight, solid (very little chatter - even on down hill hard braking), reliable fork. Steel is an option at $100 cheaper, but doesn't offer the dampening that carbon provides. Who should buy this - EVERYONE. Changing out forks is no big deal! Shocks are over-promoted, over-rated, & over-priced. Lighten-up your ride and return to a more natural way of handling the terrain. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$340.00 | | Purchased At: | LBS | | Strengths: | Smooth over the nasties and chatters, responsive and LIGHT. It looks cool too. | | Weaknesses: | EXPENSIVE | | Similar Products Used: | Nada... this is the only rigid fork I've had since owning an Answer Accu-Trax chromo fork back in the late 1980's. Anybody remember those? Mine was pink... man how awful! | | Bike Setup: | Vassago Jabber 29er | | Bottom Line: | Expensive...
It rides really well, and has none of the harshness that some steel forks I tried had. It tracks and steers great, and does a great deal to dampen and smooth out the chatter and bumps. So far I have no reason to worry about the fork, I aim the bike where I want it to go, and zoom. No problem.
4 chilis for being so expensive.
5 chilis for being a rad fork! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Albany, OR Date Reviewed: January 25, 2008 | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | Full Cycles.com | | Strengths: | Nice looking and stiff. | | Weaknesses: | Limited to 6" rotor. | | Bike Setup: | Salsa Mamasita 1x9. | | Bottom Line: | I really like this fork. It is stiff in turns and compliant over chatter. There's not much to say about a rigid fork - it's stiff. No knobs, no leaking seals and no sending it off to mfg for annual maintenance.
It rides very nice and looks good doin' it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Sactown, Ca Date Reviewed: December 14, 2007 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Very compliant, predictable, light and stylish | | Weaknesses: | nothing | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | Van Dessel Ramble Tamble SS | | Bottom Line: | My last bike had a rigid steel fork and compared to that, it feels like I have a suspension fork. This fork, in combination with a carbon bar (monkeylite DH), gives a super comfortable ride for a rigid bike, even when things get pretty rough. I am extremely pleased with this product. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I bought this to replace a Ti fork that had too much fore/aft flex. | | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | Custom Ti fork | | Bike Setup: | Black SHeep SS 29er | | Bottom Line: | I am 6'2" about 175 lbs and ride everything from singletrack rollers to some pretty rocky technical trails on this fork and it delivers. ****Bottom Line**** Light, looks great and no suprises as far as handling and flex. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$360.00 | | Strengths: | Super light, rigid, Beautiful to look at and can take the punishment. | | Weaknesses: | Nothing yet. It exceeded my expectations | | Similar Products Used: | Surly rigid fork | | Bike Setup: | Niner Sir9, 1X9, Delgado/king wheels. Nano-raptor tires. | | Bottom Line: | I wanted a lightweight rigid fork for adventure racing. I live in an area where suspension is nice, but not mandatory. I took almost 3 pounds off the bike and I can climb even faster. handling has improved and I love the fork. The front end glides across the bumps. This was a pleasant surprise. Run lower pressure to take the edge off the bumps. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$300.00 | | Strengths: | Light weight. Tracks well. Looks Great. Well built. | | Weaknesses: | Attracts a lot of attention. A little pricey. | | Similar Products Used: | Rockshox SID Redline rigid steel fork. | | Bike Setup: | Salsa Mamasita 29er. 1x8 | | Bottom Line: | After I went rigid I could not go back to a suspension fork, I know exactly where this thing is going to go. If you want a super light racing fork this one is for you. I almost got the Pace RC29, but they were not available. This fork does a great job. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$190.00 | | Purchased At: | www.whitebrotherscycling.com | | Strengths: | It's weight and size. | | Weaknesses: | Have found any. | | Similar Products Used: | The rigid fork that came on my Trek 970? My suspension fork in lock-out mode? | | Bike Setup: | Custom Ti SS(26er)34/20 | | Bottom Line: | I shouldn't be here because I ride a 26er. I bought the rigid because I didn't want to ruin the seals on my suspension fork; Oregon winters will do that in one season. The 29er fork is a damn near perfect replacement. I'm having a blast riding rigid and wonder if I'll even bother putting the Fox back on in the summer. I really can't give a useful "29er" review other than say that it's light yet strong, rigid yet supple, pretty but muddy, doesn't chatter under braking, my friends are impressed, it dropped my bike weight to under 19 lbs and the peeps at WB were really helpfull to get me this fork as fast as they could. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$340.00 | | Purchased At: | Speedgoat | | Strengths: | Very light [720 grams w/cut steerer], supple and precise steering fork. Doesn't chatter uder hard braking. | | Weaknesses: | Not actually a weakness, but it's a rigid fork [duhhh] so it's really limited to smoother terrain, unless you're incredibly masochistic. Handles differently than an 80mm Reba. | | Similar Products Used: | Alpha Q carbon cyclocross fork. Wound-Up carbon cross fork. | | Bike Setup: | Salsa Dos Niner, Reba [sometimes], Stan's tubeless system, Hope Mono-mini brakes, Raceface compact cranks. Pauls 9sp thumbies | | Bottom Line: | While the W.B. Rock Solid will not be confused with a true suspension fork, It's a great fork for most C.C. riding in Northern California. I was actually pleasently suprised by shock absorption qualities of this fork. It remind me of a 63mm travel Sid on a 26in. wheeled bike, with a bunch better steering precision than a Sid. On rougher terrain, it's a bit overmatched compared to a Reba - which isn't really a suprise I bought this fork for rides and races that don't require a ton of suspension, and I haven't been disappointed so far. It drops over two pounds off the front of the bike. It's simple to maintain and it doesn't bob or require a lockout switch to be activated when climbing out of the saddle. It's great for what it is. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
