    Weaknesses:left crank stripped
Bike Setup:2007 specialized enduro expert sx
Bottom Line:these cranks came stockon my bike. less than 5 months of riding the left crank came off. LBS put it back on, then fell off again within 2 rides. left rank was stripped and would never stay on again. found out his happens alot with these cranks...design flaw. supposedly fix in the 2008 version...but at $250 for the 2008's it's an expensive way to find out. the manufacturer replaced then free...but if they fall off again i'll change out the crank set. gave a 1 chili rating since they fell off and should NEVER do that.

    Favorite Trail:Prevost
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Came with '06 Six One
    Strengths:- Rather light
    - Strong enough but I'm light @ 150-160
    - Bash guard is damn strong
Weaknesses:- Cranks came loose a couple of times
    - Chainrings have really bad wear after 1 season (of hard riding that is)
Bottom Line:Since these cranks came stock on the bike so I'd say they were good enough as an OEM crank. They've lasted 1 whole season completely filled with riding and are still running pretty good apart from the chainrings. They shifted well but got worn so fast causing chainsuck. I replaced them with blackspires for this season.

I repacked the BB bearings after 1 season but I should have replaced them altogether. I consider this normal wear though having put probably 1000km on them.

The cranks coming loose is annoying so make sure you have your 8mm allen when going on a ride. I've been able to tighten the cranks enough for it to stop and I suppose some loctite would get rid of the problem as well.

I wouldn't buy these cranks aftermarket, I'd go for the Saint instead (or the new SLX???). But I suppose that if you're on a budget it's a pretty good compromise!

    Date Reviewed: December 14, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $130.00
    Purchased At:Lifetime Bicycles in Loganville
Strengths:Very Stiff, smooth, light, strong, and looks good.
Weaknesses:none so far but i will submit another review if anything goes wrong
Similar Products Used:Isoflow, OEM on bike
Bike Setup:Hard Rock Sport Disc, Stylo 2.2, RS Dart 3, SunRims with XT hubs
Bottom Line:I bought this crank set because I wanted something lighter and stronger because I'm a 215lb rider and the Isoflow was alittle flexy for me. Also, I really never use the small and large chainrings and I had already bent the large chainring on the Isoflow by going over logs and such. The 2.2 came with a alumimum bash gaurd and has alittle better ground clearance. I also like the fact it even looks more beefy but is lighter than the Isoflow. I rode really hard and even did some jumps the first couple of times after I had my bike shop install the 2.2 and i haven't had any problems with anything coming loose. So if u use only the middle or small chainring then i would recommend this crankset as a good choice for an upgrade over you OEM crankset.

    Date Reviewed: June 17, 2007
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $135.00
Strengths:Stiff, light for the durability, looks
    Weaknesses:Non found at this time
    Similar Products Used:Truvativ Hussefelt (isis)
Bike Setup:Ventana X5, Vanilla 125 rlc, xt & lx stuff
Bottom Line:So far these cranks have been great. Super easy to install, the aluminum bash gaurd is holding up just fine and I haven't had any problems with them at all. The 26/36 rings have been a bit of an adjustment from the 22/32 but I'm just getting stronger. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an AM crank with 2 rings and a bash.

    Get out and ride!

Bottom Line:I had heard good things about Truvativ Cranks but after trying these cranks out, they are not as strong as I was told.
