from Bay area Date Reviewed: December 14, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Dream-ride (my secret) | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Strengths: | Everything--PPLLUUSSHH I still outclimb my hardtail friends | | Weaknesses: | $$$$ and availability (not everyone can handle this much fun) | | Similar Products Used: | Str.-6 , s.c. Bullit FSR (Crap) | | Bike Setup: | DARE w/ Tripple chainring, Fox TC, and Z-1 Bam | | Bottom Line: | If you can afford one, BUY IT!!! There is nothing(But $$$) that I would change about this bike. It climbs Soooo well... almost as good as my hardtail (Dare's better on technical rocky ascents!!!) I'd give it 10 flaming turds if I could, but 5 will have to do.

from Ottawa Date Reviewed: October 5, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Skyline DH | | Duration Product Used: | tested or demo'ed only | | Strengths: | Everything, light, strong, plush | | Weaknesses: | NONE! | | Similar Products Used: | FSR, C-dale, Intense | | Bike Setup: | Raceface triple chainring, manitou triple clamp fork, XTR, 2.3 inch tires | | Bottom Line: | There is no better FS bike, this climbs incredibly well for a 28 pounder, and does downhill like a DHO bike. Expensive as shit, but start saving your pennies cause it is worth every one of 'em. | Overall Rating: |
